Love this pedal. Funny thing is, I was just playing around with the JHS Octave Reverb and the JHS Harmonic Trem together along with the Catlinbread Topanga and got into some of the same territory you did with this pedal. Looks like fun. That last setting is very jet-age sci-fi. Thanks for the review.
Thank you very much for that information on the mix knob. I don’t like to buy tremolo pedals without a volume knob or at least a trim pot. Glad to hear the volume drop perception won’t be an issue with this pedal. I was looking at the J.Rockett Mr Moto trem and it sounds awesome to me but I couldn’t buy it because it doesn’t have a volume adjustment. Looks like I’ll be getting the Tremol8. Thanks
Wow another parallel pedal. I've been mixing a large collection of classic clones this way and in series with a diy matrix mixer for some time. It's a great way of getting otherwise unavailable tones. It's good to add a good clean boost strategically somewhere, you can loose some tone if you go too far. Ps, I know these reveiws are really long but I can happily watch Ryan read test all these pedals, thoroughly so we can learn and make the best decisions, especially when he does it so well, with such a wide repertoire to draw from.
Great demo, thank you. Sounds like a great tremolo pedal to my ears. But definitely does a lot more with reverb, chorus and ring mod thrown into the mix. I just got the Talisman and I love it. This Tremol8 will probably be next. Thanks again for the awesome demo. ❤this channel
The perceived volume loss thing is like okay - the tremol8 is bypassed and you're ripping a sweet rhythm lick after the vocal section is done and the singer looks at you like hey man you ready to light that shit on fire and you're like yeah man of course let me just turn on some special sauce and start ripping lead riffs - I'll hit my harmonic trem! Oh but the mix is set highly wet and the frequency being dipped for that phasey lushness is kinda sucking out some key frequencies for my solo - singers gonna get pissed, okay solution - mix in some dry signal to restore your ripping attack but maintain a balance of the harmonic chewy tremsauce.
Sounds really good. What I'd really like to see is tremolo into chorus or flange w/ either ramp/brake control of tremolo rate w/ tap switch or tremolo rate control w/ an expression pedal. Chorus or flange would remain static as set.
Sounds like an Old Blood Noise design.Just got their Flatlight Flanger, and it has detune/resonate/echo modes with exp.pedal control . It's going to take a while to figure out all that it's capable of .The old CB Semaphore Trem was made in a stereo version( w/exp), and did some very off grid things.
Josh at JHS featured 3 korg distortion petals so you have time to stock up on the petals you were sending by your mental power!!! Maybe your thoughts are still in the air!!! Happy trails everyone!!! Have a blessed day and we love you!! Also where is the volture to see what it will do??
You could just do the two Princeton's thing as a separate video. Then people have the choice to watch or not. If you do it at the beginning of a product demo, you're likely to reduce the optics on that product
What is the guitar second from the right (viewer's perspective) that looks sorta like a reverse Flying V? I used to roadie for The Flaming Lips in the 90's and Wayne Coyne had one (broken) on his wall. It's a cool looking lil' b@sturd.
Buy analog man! :-) I can hear the sound of dithering in this entirely digital pedal. It pretends to be analog, It is not. It is not different in any way. It's very casual.
the Breadmakers nail a trem I would own
Bought one from Sweetwater using your affiliate link, can't wait to try it out!
It's SO good! 😺👍
I’m always impressed how frequently catalinbread drops new pedals
The reverb on this pedal seems exceptionally well voiced!
Please! Play the whole two princes theme! Every time!
It's rare these days that I see a new pedal that I absolutely NEED, and this is one of them.
What a beautiful Jaguar🙌.
The reverb on the Tremol8 is amazing✌️.
dang! Psychedelic! Great for horror movies!

Oh man, an expression pedal for the rate would be fun, especially on the ring mod setting!
That sine wave sounds soooo lush!
Just picked one up, starting to fool around with it. The mix knob seems to work pretty well as an overall volume control!

Love the Devo at 5:12

This thing needs to be a dual pedal!! Thanks for the demo.
It looks as it comes from a spaceship far out in the galaxy ina good way.👽❤

Nice pedal. I appreciate the Lonely Bull ref.
Ok I’m not a big fan of ring mods but that looks like fun! The look on your face in the beginning when making space noises was priceless. 😁

Need that shirt 🤘💥
Very cool video and pedal.
So cool sounding pedal, very musical. Artist's choice for sure! : D
The pedal sounds cool ... but your TMBG T-shirt is fabulous.
Sounds great! I'm in the market for a trem/reverb pedal and this has a lot of extras that make it appealing.

Lets have the 8bit spin doctors on the show

I just realized that you never reviewed the Keeley Hydra. Have you ever tried it? Just wanted the YT Afficionado of Drip’s take on its spring setting.
Sounds like a fun pedal to mess around with.
Wont be replacing the flint with this. Big chorus fan loving the Catalina, took way to long to get one. The chorus in this is a bit of a joke
I love Tremolo,
All the cool kids are doing it👍🏄♂️💦

Just from the opening.... it's WeIrD! ... but could be pretty FUN! (Ryan loves to "Toss the Box"!)

It’s a hallmark swept wing. That’s rad that Wayne had one. He probably had an original which would be pretty rare.
Careless Whisper
I'm still upset you gave away the Cuvave fuzz. That was a pedal you could have given to me... lmao 🤣🤣
? Did I do that?

Help me …… I don’t want to be this high
🤌
Love the channel, hate the joke with the 2 Princeton's. It's had it's day. It was fun but not now.
Now, which amp or sim fun? :)

You laugh at yourself way too much.
Got it, less laughing more crying. I’ll try to do better next time boss.
