This was awesome! I love FatheringAutism! They are great! Found this video from their community post! Glad you got some questions answered! Being an autism parent and a youtuber myself, i can stand by all the answers he gave! Reinforcement is key! Our children are indeed different, but not LESS! Great interview!
Thanks Fathering Autism for taking the time to do this!!! I heard some things differently so it was sooooo awesome! Tons of people and you took the time. Thanks for taking the time to do the interview!
So proud you were able to capture this! I would give my right leg just to give them a a big hug! Good luck on your UA-cam channel man! I'll get to 60 subscribers someday 😂😂
Not sure what I want to say, this was so great. I feel like this whole parenting thing that has come about because of Abbie for the Maas' shows everyone how real families should look. I had to say goodbye to my father once or more every year growing up, he traveled the world, worked for the UN and although I got to travel the world with my father and get that experience, my mother was and is narcissistic, she neglected myself and my siblings terribly and constantly, and I don't think he could handle that, so he didn't, he just left. We can't just leave our families because they're may be problems and if we do need to leave our families, the parents if good parents should live close. When Asa mentions that Abbie takes advantage of mom, well that happens in every family with boys and girls, autism or not and mom needs that support. I'm not sure I've ever seen or met a man who loved his little girl and his whole family so much, it makes me cry. Families have gotten away from being actual real families in recent years and we need this so desperately. I have done it with my kids alone, as my husband decided to leave long ago, although I am not narcissistic myself. Some men don't know what they have or don't care. But Asa's and his whole family's example is one to follow. They carry a big load, it takes a village to raise a child and interestingly that need for a village doesn't stop when we grow up. We all need to learn from such deep and utter love. Well done doesn't say enough. Asa will give Abbie the greatest life she could ever wish for, he already is.
My brother does the same work as you in a school system. It is very enlightening for me to learn more about his job through you and the questions you posed to Fathering Autism. Thanks for the great video
I loved your questions to Asa! I work with special needs children in a public school setting and your questions were spot on! Thanks so much for a great interview and I'm a new subscriber now!
At the end of the day its ur family your choice and shes under your choices right now and like u said whenever the family is not in the mood u have that respect i think its awesome ur filming it gives me and many all the insides of what types of disorders there are and how u work with it how u are her voice when it comes to services school therapy her rights and i have learn so much from u guys just by sharing ur experiences n advice i have learn more that a doctor can ever teach me so i thank you for what u do
I love fathering autism! I love the family and so bummed I couldn’t make it to meet up at OC. I love this interview because it’s at a different perspective. It just reminds me why I love that family. Thank you for sharing and awesome questions.
Loved the interview.. I subscribe to fathering autism...loved seeing Asa interviewed it really shows a little different aspect of him..he really is knowledgeable and hope others take advantage of the information he has. Thanks to you.. I will check your channel out.
Cameron, I came to see your interview with Fathering Autism. Impressive work you have done for the Maas family. I am going to check out more of your UA-cam page and see if it peaks my interest. 😁
Public schools are big on privacy laws. I agree with Asa I want all the paras the know my child. I'm also a para at a different school but I do have to fill in with several different children and I don't know what to beware of, it's stressful. Great job Cameron! You asked great questions. Thank you for spreading awareness and caring for our children. New subscriber!
Wonderful interview! Love that you went there with a goal in mind and accomplished it. Nothing you can really do about the background noise 🤷🏼♀️ Loved it regardless!!
Asa is a FANTASTIC father. I teach Special Education and Autistic students, we as teachers need more Asa's ( and Priscilla's) Great interview, despite the background noise.
I actually had a school try to force me to work with other kids in a self-contained classroom when I was hired to teach sign language to one nonverbal child. I wasn't trained on the other's in the classroom and the funding was for me to work with that one child only. They were trying to work around the system to get another "aide" in there. If I had done that, I wouldn't have been able to do the job I did with the one child. Her sign vocabulary doubled and she was able to express so much more than before.
Great interview! A little noisy due to the crowds there and traffic. Good questions. Just curious if you are a teacher and/or work in the education field?
Natural consequence not punishment seems like good plan. I like Abbys parents’ views here. Spill it, pick it up with guidance. Blow a gasket, not the best day to go somewhere, maybe tomorrow when having a better day. Ive seen also in their videos, parents choosing to not “set her up” for rough time by adjusting plans in anticipation that its just not the best day for x activity. Not really punishment but more like, hey, if you get xyz done, or finish you therapy, you can ride the cart. Even two neurotypical siblings wont respond the same way to every discipline technique, but all kids can learn some adult skills by experiencing natural consequences. Spill. No harm, no foul. Here are paper towels. Lets pick it up.

Great Questions!
I came from Asa’s channel. I was really looking forward to this video, but it was far too difficult for me to watch this video. With all the background noise, I wasn’t able to process what you were saying.
It wasn't autistic audience friendly - for sure.
Good interview...
Great video 😁
good interview!
How cool
Good interview
Gor wearing the sunglasses he made
You can please some of the other time. . . .
i liked the interview but it was distracting and kind of hard to hear
Yes, it was really hard to follow the interview because of the background noises. But still a really good video.
It wasn't autism friendly for viewers especially, but I liked what I did hear.
Yeah awesome vid but the voices in the background were making it hard to focus just on what he and Asa are saying
When you first saw his channel you thought what? Couldn't make out what you asked.
JC P he said when he first saw the channel he thought they were exploiting Abbie
Kathleen Nicole They veer off the topic of autism but don't see exploitation.
