- The 42082 Rough Terrain Crane is an impressive build with more than 4000 pieces. It has a B model that shares the same base, but it has a very different superstructure and functionality. Check out this comparison between the two models!

it's nice that you finally started making vids where you talk too. instead of only text.
It may look similar, but the functionality of the B model is pretty cool compared to usual B models.
I love the new format of you talking. You do amazing jobs on your videos. Keep up the good work. Bye
42082 is my first lego technic set and still till this day, it's best set ever.
Thank you for this informative video. Have bought this model but not started to build it. Perhaps your video is the trigger to really make me start 😀😀😀
Your reviews are the best
I got this set today. This is beautiful set.

Great spoken review, thanks for that.
Very good models
This set sort of reminds me of the EW160E set
Hi Ross here again I just wanted to add further to the comment about the slew ring problem ,when the model becomes unstable the problem seems to be that the slew ring can open up and allows the movement, should this happen. Cheers. Ross
Hi I have just recently built the A crane model and am unsure as to the connection of the upper and lower as the slew ring section can separate, have I missed something or is that the way it is intended. When I completed the slew ring section there was no info to reveal the locking of this part so consequently the upper section is loose and wobbles somewhat ,is this normal. I am thinking that I must have missed something but I have reviewed this section in the instructions several times I am disappointed as it has been a great experience doing this model as I am a crane driver and actually had one of these cranes and worked it at Maralinga in South Australia. Hoping you can help with this problem. Ross McCubbin
It is normal that the ring sections are separate. This allows for a totally free movement in 360 degrees (actually it can turn freely multiple times). It seems you didn't make any error, I built it the same way according to the instructions.
How did you afford two?

Hi. how to change the batteries in the B model?
Similar to A model
I think my model C and D are better ^^
How do they look like then
You may not know Nico, but he's right. Here they are:

I agree - I just finished making your forklift. I think the most ingenious part of your design is the trigger to turn on the motor itself! Your E model looks incredible as well.
It doesn’t have to cause I have it doing bag by bag
in germany
Nice video. I have the crane but i think the b model is ugly.

So all it does it bang a piece into the ground? What an uninteresting function! Nico dd was better than this on each of his redesigns.
