- Sandy Skelaney is a consultant currently working with the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services. She provides training and technical assistance to youth centers regarding the issue of sex trafficking of children.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
She makes a great point. Often the victims get more attention and basic care from the perpetrators than the helpers. This always baffles me, but I have found it to be true. When I needed help, there was always somebody offering with "strings attached " right there. Good help, caring help, is hard to come by.
Finally someone that gets what is going on. Not just people saying legalize this or make this illegal.

Also, when it comes to those that profit from under-age sex trafficking, who gives a flying crap whether or not it is PC or not to expose them?
