chris bennett no chance the majority of the Brazilian teams have only Brazilians in their sides and a smattering of other South American players. Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, England, Portugal as well as World Cup finalists Croatia and a very strong Belgium team all footballing power houses over the years. Not to mention the best African players also play in Europe as opposed to Brazil. One off game anything can happen but European teams much stronger even if no Brazilians played in it

This game was before big entrepreneurs came to UK and create big teams based on big money, and before Brazil starts loosing players, mostly to Europe. Nowadays, there is no way to beat europeans, unless money comes to South America!!!
Lawrenson spoke about this game the other day. Said the players did not want to go as there was nothing in their contracts for it. They ended up getting a bonus payment to settle it. He also said they were on the golf course all day and the drink all evening before the game.

Os brasileiros eram os melhores...diferente de hoje
Tavy@ that pitch looked as if it hadnt seen water in years. You could see the dust coming up off it when a player fell or tackled, it was as if they were playing on a gravel all weather pitch, wich is horrible. Also known as red blaze. But how good were flamengo back then, they made liverpool look like an amature team. And that back heel at 7.13 from zico was pure class, and he did it while the ball was moving as it was passesd to him then he passesd it to another player with a back heel. Its really hard to do that, if your a split second late or early then you look daft. Its got to be perfect. Thats why you dont see it as much, but when some one does it its a joy to watch. A watched it 4 times there!
Zico, Leandro, Junior in the same team, plus Nunes, Andrade and other brazilian genius. Early 80s Flamengo was absolutely fantastic.
I came here after reading The guardians article on Zico..... Nice game by the Brazilians but always a Red..Ynwa
I watched the whole match live. I think the match kicked off about 3 00 in the morning uk time. So Zico was out of this world.
Futebol Arte!Poor Liverpool, looked so small against these football titans of Flamengo. The Brazilians humiliated them nice and easy,no need to sweat.😊
O Zico deu a mãe dele pro ingleses
See you again this weekend! ;)
Nossos coracoes estao quebrados com voce.

Зико-лучший!!!!
If the best Brazilians stayed in Brazil they would smash the European teams to bits as its been proven time and time again
chris bennett no chance the majority of the Brazilian teams have only Brazilians in their sides and a smattering of other South American players.
Yes Brazil are the most successful footballing nation bar none but European teams even if the Brazilians stayed at home have players from all over Europe. Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, England, Portugal as well as World Cup finalists Croatia and a very strong Belgium team all footballing power houses over the years.
Not to mention the best African players also play in Europe as opposed to Brazil. One off game anything can happen but European teams much stronger even if no Brazilians played in it
Chris lightning nonsense
The record of Brazilian clubs against European teams is far superior that only changed in the mid eighties when they left their native Brazil
I much prefer Brazilian style but unfortunately it's been polluted by European
And gone down hill
Miss the Pele ,garrincha ,jairzinho ,tostao ,riverlino days
Rip
chris bennett Different era in 1970s most players that played in England were English, Italian leagues were Italians etc with one or two foreigners. European teams now have global talent of all the top countries.
@@lightningleaf23 If all the greatest Brazilian players stayed in their clubs, Brazilian clubs would be unbeatable.
@@Ricardo-mr3bg no they wouldn’t the best players in the world currently messi, ronaldo, mbappe, neymar, Kevin de Bruyne, Haarland, Virgil Van Dijk, out of that lot 1 is Brazilian. Thiago silva is 36 and still plays for Brazil lol
Very nice beautiful
I’ve still got the original program of this match
I am Flamengo support and was the first game I saw on tV here in Brazil. I do not like to trash Liverpool a fantastic team. The narrator was very nice as well. I do not agree that today our best players are in Europe and this is the reason our domestic football is weak. Actually, our local football is very bad, the talents are not like in the past. Our clubs, even Flamengo nowadays better organized , are not competent to reveal real talents anymore. Football in Brazil has declined . it is sad for us lovers of football and Brazilians.
kaká in Dublin well complain and organise
Campaign and do something about
We're are the Brazilian millionaires and billionaires
They could be putting money into the clubs and building a strong vibrant dynamic league
Pay brilliant decent money so they won't have to go abroad
I miss the Pele days
Liverpool FC vs Flamengo CR : 0-3

Liverpool FC vs Flamengo CR : 1-0

An all to rare opportunity to hear Jim Rosenthal on comms.
Liverpool important very strong team that meet an epic team with names that are true masters of World football: Flamenco!
what sound effect?
Aggregate: Flamengo 3 x 1 Liverpool ;)
This game was before big entrepreneurs came to UK and create big teams based on big money, and before Brazil starts loosing players, mostly to Europe. Nowadays, there is no way to beat europeans, unless money comes to South America!!!
Well, you gotta make one for 2019
2019
Liverpool 1 vs Flamingo 0 2019 rematch
Liverpool champion 🏆
Lawrenson spoke about this game the other day. Said the players did not want to go as there was nothing in their contracts for it. They ended up getting a bonus payment to settle it. He also said they were on the golf course all day and the drink all evening before the game.
That's why Flamengo won 3x0 in the first half and just walked through the pitch in the second half. A far better team than Liverpool.
@@BocaoZI think he's suggesting they were playing golf the day before the game instead of training. Either way they got beat. Both teams were great sides. Individual matches are a hard way to judge whos better. If they had played 5 or 6 times then you get an idea of who the best team is.
was that at altitude? bounce on the ball was severe.
it's Japan man, no altitude.
2019 Liverpool get revenge!
Mas A 😂😂It took 38 years for it. I hate Salah guy. Still they lose against São Paulo in 2005.
@@jonathansibri6012 wipe your tears🤣
John Cornell Liverpool’s best players are not even the best players in the world. Messi and Ronaldo is still top 2 best soccer players in the world. These satly Liverpool fans since 2019
naushad junglee I like how you fans are so happy for your team when they do everything in one year when FC Barcelona and Real Madrid do many times before. At least, 2019 FIFA club World Cup was a fair league since Liverpool looks like it ok European club to tie or beat. Flamengo might have lost, the game was overtime 😂 when Real Madrid and FC Barcelona has no problem with that.
1-3 final record loserpool
@@jonathansibri6012 you forgot the years Liverpool refused to send a team to the competition because they had more important fixtures...Like the under 16's
are they playing on felt over a car park ornsomething?
How many here after Bobby's late goal?
Nesta época as equipes sul americanas conseguiam encarar as europeias
SE REPETIRA ESTO?
Está difícil... Pero ojalá lo lograrán.
esta vez ganará Liverpool
esta vez temos dos brasileiros, pois ganaremos...
No shame on that.Zico junior wow great stuff.
what was the noise - like a continuous fire alarm ? - always stuck with me that noise
Daniel O'Connor wuwuzele
What a team Flamengo had at that time. Whatever that awful noise is coming from the crowd, I am glad they have since banned that!
Liverpool vs flamengo in final club world cup today
Wow! I thought shirts bearing player's name only started in 1992 EURO.. 🤔
In December 2019 Liverpool have run rings around the Brazilians
