Apparently the Muzzle velocity of this thing is absurd, like way faster than the ADEN's. I'm also excited for the Ariete too. Actually reminds me of the yak23 with better guns.
This plane really does evoke the Roadsters of the '60s and '70s; and I agree, completely, she's a spiffy yet elegant little jet. The fighting style really seems to suit what I like to do -- if not am necessarily good at -- so I am definitely looking forward to getting her. Great review as ever, Jengar.
Well on my way to unlocking this. By far my most anticipated plane of the parch, and the Sea Vixen. The Mig-23 was just fodder for F-14's in real life. Thanks for this.

The version in game is the prototype interceptor. 2 versions were planned, the interceptor (version in game) and fighter bomber (had hard points to carry bombs and rockets.) The fighter bomber version was never made, because the project was cancelled before it could happen, as the g91 was found to be better and chosen over it,
While I agree on the looks part and other points made in the video, I do not agree with the stament that the jet is not overpowered. It's abilities far outclass those of it's contemporaries at 8.0. and it can comfortably fight against higher BR opponents. While not the best in energy retention the retention is good enough to challenge other planes long enough to get a shot off. And this is where I feel Jengar made an oopsie when stating that cannons are 'decent'. Those 30mm guns have the highest velocity of any 30mm and and probably all 20mm guns in the game which is expected considering the guns are half the length of the plane! But the muzzle velocity is over 1000 m/s or atleast 20 to 30 % higher than other planes. These guns are flat out the most dangerous guns on the br as they reach much further than other planes, provided you can aim. This means that this little bugger is absolutely lethal against 'off meta planes' such as french ones or some of the swedish ones because all you need is the one shot opportunity, and because of the high velocity, you can be a bit further back too. The agile frame without much in terms of drawbacks makes it very very difficult to fight in any jet that does not retain energy, leaving you to a state of run and head-on until one falls. Because of this I think it should not face 7.0 jets, ever, those things have absolutely no chances against it.
Completely agree, Jengar says it is not OP because it has some downside, but the downside are nearly irrelevant in a dogfight and missiles or ordinance at this BR only make you heavier and slower, it is INDISCUTABLY the SRAAM-spewing Harrier GR.1 of this patch: everybody has it and they always dominate every match. JENGAR, IF IT WAS NOT OP, WHY WOULD EVERYBODY PLAY IT AND DOMINATE LIKE THAT??? And please don't insult us by saying we have not figured out a counter yet: only the Mig-15 can "survive" against this monster, but certainly not kill it!

I've also noticed the cockpit's low quality and seems unfinished. A guy I was flying with said it was almost like Gaijin dropped the aircraft a few weeks/a month too early.
I bet the mystere IVa might be dogshit because in my test flight, it had the speed bleed of a super mystere and it has a climbrate worse then mystere IIc.
i need this plane ... but i started with german tech tree... and you can t even test fly it ... that sucks !!! but it was made for me since i am a sagittarius !!!!
@@jengar6258 cool, I'm still a newbie - people like me have to be cultivated, reason being if we loose interest then WT will suffer - I really enjoy it and am amazed at what you can do do --- keep it up and be kind to us newbs (even though I'm 78 and flew on and fixed RC-121D - fyi those are props (Connies) and the first AWACs.
@@jengar6258 the thing pulls 15g turns and comes out at 700ias.. its faster than the majority of aircraft at its BR and it basically can't overspeed.. gaijin stopped caring about balancing in warthunder around the time they started adding premium aircraft that are basically the exact same as their non premium counterparts... with lower BR's for no reason.. excuse me if I seem bitter but it just kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth when every update the game becomes more and more pay to win... right off the bat I have been getting nothing but $60 f5c spam.. *the audience gaijin is aiming for now isn't the same as it was in 2013* I sincerely hope for the good of your fans and your channel.. you pickup a game like DCS or IL2. I will continue to support and watch your videos regardless of course.

@@jengar6258 turns better than mig 15's but with an excellent roll rate, accelerations similar to migs and better climb rate cannons way better than on migs yet it's at 8.0 making it possible that it can face me262, this thing should be 8.3 at minimum or it's flight model needs to change you can easily pull 14g without even ripping your wings, it's just dumb You could also compare it to the g91 which are 8.3 but the sagittario outperforms them at everything appart from maybe top speed. Yet the g91 is at 8.3 and the sagittario at 8.0 Could also compare it to the md452 that is sitting at 8.3 and here's there is nothing to argue about it outperforms the MD 452 (which I find descent at 8.3) IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAYS, this plane is stupidly op
@@flxdrv5020 thank you , Jengar is usually balanced in his reviews but one only has to look at the team roster at tha BR in air RB to realize it IS ABUSED AND AN ABUSE. @Jengar I understand you want to publish your reviews quickly after a patch drops, but a little warning in the comments or the title should have been made by now The fact that Gaijin, in its infinite snail-ness, has already removed any other belts than tracers because in addition to ruining air RB it was also a CAS nightmare!

Should have airbrake... somehow they messed up and deactivated it. The dovbleg for it shows the model with the airbrakes deployed.
