- A how to locate and replace your cabin airfilter in a QX60. This video is a little bit longer than I would have liked. This is because there are a number of things that come up when changing this filter.
Feel free to comment below what I could've done better or if this video helps you. Also here is a link to the filter that I purchased.

The correct filter should be very flexible, like what is shown in the video. The factory part number is 27277-9NM0A
Thanks bro, first time changing this filter and it was a little complicated to put it back in, but after I watched your video that really helped me. Outstanding job 👍
Thanks showed this to the mechanic who was at first going through the glove compartment.
I'm glad I could help
You didn't have to take that panel off, you will still have access to the filter.
I believe the right way is to remove the glove compartment. That's how I do it on my 2014 pathfinder. Takes about half hour with a power drill and it's less painful.
They should have designed it like blinds on a window for removing. Pull a string so it’ll collapse enough to get it out. Quite a struggle this way it seems. I’ve only got 14k on my wife’s 2020 so I’ll mentally have to prepare myself for the task when it’s time. Thanks for the heads up. 👍🏼
It is truly painful to get at. I've never paid a dealer to change a cabin air filter until I got a QX60...
That sucks to hear, it is an odd design
While trying to pull the old filter out, the filter wound up being pushed in, and I am now not able to grab it at all. I started to remove the glove box to see if I could get better access, but I don't think that will help. Any idea's on what I can do now would be appreciated.
Can you find a small tool like a pick. Something that can get inside the housing and bring the filter back to you.
Iba a cambiar el mio pero mejor vendo mi QX60
Fyi...The genuine Nissan filter has approx. 42 pleats. The non-OEM you bought, has ONLY 31 pleats. This gives you a lot less surface area 😞! No bueno!!!
Filter efficiency/capacity is defined by surface area. A larger surface area means better airflow, better filtration with less resistance to air movement ( lower static pressure ).
Probably best to stick with the Genuine Nissan part. It's only about $28-29.00 at Nissan dealers online, as of Spring 2024. My local Nissan dealer always matches prices online, from other Nissan dealers.
What a stupid design! Thanks for suffering with me.
Oh, you're welcome. Doing this job while filming was twice as painful 😅
