Dear Scott Your video taught me the secrets of the stuck circulation pump and allowed me to free it from a shard of broken glass! My wife thanks you from the bottom of her dishwasher! Best wishes
I just used this technique. My dishwasher wasn’t working properly. I did replace another part. Can’t remember the name of it but I literally just did this and my dishwasher is working again yay thank you so much it’s literally going to be 21 years old. Best dishwasher ever.
I have been using your videos off and on to try to fix my dishwasher for the past 7 mos !! I kept giving up because I didn't want to force it but I knew from your excellent descriptions that the impeller was the problem. This latest video where you suggest pliers is exactly what I needed!! My dishwasher is working again!!! Thank you!!!
Adding the oil worked for me. I had tried the fork technique without the oil with no result. As soon as I added the oil, mixed, waited and then used the fork again it release the impeller and it now works. My wife is very happy so now I am happy. Thank you so very much for this most excellent tip...
Scott you did it again after watching your video I fixed my dishwasher. The fork didn’t work but a small screw driver did the trick. Thank you so much!
Thank you. If we run a "rinse and hold"cycle first (which runs no issue) and then run normal wash cycle, it works! However, if we start right with normal wash cycle, intake light comes on 2-3 minutes and wash stops. I can't seem to get to or understand getting to impeller (we have futurama dimension). Will try oil next!
Hi from Australia. Had the exact problem, followed the directions including the lubricant. Had been away for 2 weeks. Used a small cake fork and with a bit of fiddling got a great buzz when I felt the rotor turn. A couple of turns and turned the machine on and away it went. Magic. Thank you
Thank you Scott.... we just finished a kitchen remodel and the dishwasher sat in the garage for 3 months... used the fork & oil technique and worked like magic... Thx again!
Scott, I wanted to add 2 comments that I hope you can add to your videos. The intake drain cover must be seated properly i.e. the left tab must be seated on top of the clip on bottom of washer (not under the clip). Additionally, if clearing the impeller is difficult, one can use a long straw to blow air withj water to clear under the impeller. This straw method and hot water can also be used to clear dishwasher detergent accidentally poured into the jet dry (drying blue liquid) compartment in the door.
Hiya - I have fixed my dishwasher (and washing machine I believe) with your fantastic videos. After replacing a motor and heat sensor switch, I discovered my real plight was the top spray arm feed pipe - the nasty rubbery connection between the pipe and the motor has disintegrated. Do you have any hints how to either just make a fix for that rubbering bit, or replace the whole feeder pipe? Pipe appears to be $150 to buy :( Thanks so much for your help!
Yep, That’s so common. Can you take a small section of the bad tube to the auto parts store and get a radiator hose that the old hose will fit inside and use hose clamps to hold the radiator hose in place. Can you send that same question to: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
Hi Scott Love your videos My dishwasher Miele always has the flashing light fir drain/ intake after it runs for 2-3 mins I tried all the stuff on your videos but no success Anymore suggestions? Thx
I rotated the impeller and cleaned the non-return valve, still the Inlet/Drain in Miele 692 SC Plus dishwasher shows red light. Scott can you please help 🙏
@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel thank you. Any suggestions for that model? Error code is F12, intake works great so I fear it's the impeller. The dishwasher wasn't in use for several months.
Hi Scott, I've finally gotten the impeller to turn. It fills up with water to the correct level like you showed and drains okay too. But after it fills it there are no other noises. What should I do now?
I did this and the light went off and yhe machine drained the water but now none of the wash cycles apart from pre rinse will cycle through correctly. Any solutions to that issue?
Yep, new one that one you can’t do the fork trick. The only thing that works is to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet and then takeoff the bottom panel and remove the circulation pump to manually get the impeller moving again. You could try first putting some boiling water in the dishwasher along with some rinse aid for 20 minutes and then try again to see if that willLoosen up that motor shaft seal
Scott, your videos are great. Was wondering if you have advice on my G892 SCU Plus? It's displaying the error code F09 indicating the heater level switch not switching on at the end of thermal stops. Does this mean the heater level switch is faulty, or is it possible another component has failed. I just replaced the main circ pump, so I know how to replace the heater switch, I just want to make sure that is the failed component. One thing to note, when the dishwasher stops due to this fault, a humming/buzzing sound remains on and indicates some component is still energized, this may indicate another system issue. Thanks for your help!
Can you send me a picture of how high the water gets when it fills in relation to the bottom of the plastic filter handle. It should just kiss the bottom of the filter handle.
I have the Miele tool and I just used it. 2 pieces of plastic came out. I think I broke two fins ( or whatever they’re called). Will it still work with 2 pieces off the propeller thing?
Scottthefixitguy it’s not kicking on:(. Thank you for you reply and for your help! The intake light just goes on after a couple of minutes. I know that I have to replace the inlet valve. It wasn’t closing so I was just turning the water off under the sink manually after each use. I guess I’m lucky it lasted this long. If it had too much water, I opened the bottom panel and vacuumed the water and it would usually work, but now that stopped.
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thank you. I paid Miele 10 years ago for a new circulation pump. I called again and they suggested a new machine because mine is 20 years old. Its Nova Stella. Hi Scott! I have a 2140 Miele dishwasher that runs for about 5 seconds then stops, then restarts, then stops, and eventually just drains. I have replaced the flow meter, the capacitor, and the partition but the problem still remains. Can you give me any insight as to what the problem may be?

The impeller on my Miele G1262 is moving freely, there are no kinks in the hose, the filter has been cleaned and the intake valve is clean and cleared. The water pressure coming out of the sink is normal. Thirty-five seconds into the cycle, after the water I poured into the bottom of the dishwasher has cleared, the intake/drain light blinks and the beep starts.
