I started going to games in 1988. Talk about spoiled......Majors one of my all time favorites. I saw him several times personally in my life.....one day at Walmart of all places up toward Pittsburgh. My Dad gave him a copy of the whole undefeated season on VHS. hahahah
Why would he? He was a quarterback. I am not sure if you remember but black guys weren’t considered smart enough or good enough to be NFL quarterbacks in that era. All of that was bs racism because Major could spin that ball.
Major was 15-20 years ahead of his time. He’d probably be a #1 pick if he played today.
He literally went the wrong way on the speed option, scored on a broken play. Plus he couldn't throw.

I was in school there from 87 to 94 and didn't miss a home game. I was there.
Before Pat White, there was Major Harris.
man i never saw another QB that was so fun to watch game after game!
I remember this like it was yesterday. I miss GAME Days watching the Mountaineers with pawpaw.
In the early 80’s and 90’s Major lived in the next court to my aunts house, Elmore Square, Pittsburgh Pa.
This team was soooooo fun to watch
More please
the whole defense was grabbing air that day
So sad he got hurt early in the National Championship game vs Notre Dame and that his first 20 plus yd pass was dropped.
Come back to WV!
They diden want Major 2 be ah Star in da NFL tho Duel Threat lol 🏈
He should not have left early.
average citizen he was before his time if Harris would’ve played in today’s college football he would’ve been a top 5 pick
What explains PS's decisive won loss advantage vs WV?
For many years they had better players and plenty of them.
You may have had better teams than WVU, but WVU coaches did not rape students and have other coaches cover it up.
schs1977 I00% Agee with you WVU is a clean football program
Man why did he not switch to RB in the pro's?
