How To Prune Jalapenos To Overwinter

  • Welcome to another video!
    Today I'm bringing my jalapenos inside, as it's getting to be too cold outside (nearing freezing) too often, which will slowly deteriorate the health of the plants.
    Overwintering jalapenos (and any pepper) will allow the plant to start with an established root system, and branch structure. Setting your plants up to produce earlier, and potentially more abundantly.
    I'll be pruning them back pretty hard, to hopefully get some back budding next year and get the growth to be more compact.

      Thank you, I appreciate it! I might get some small jalapenos, but my main goal is for them to survive the winter, to put them back outside in spring.
