That kid looked absolutely terrified of Chewie. Little did he know the real monster was right in front of him.
Assuming Gary Glitter wasn't inside the Chewy costume.
@@GaryJRobinson I hope that Saville also wasn't in anything on set other than a costume that day....
😂👏👏👏very good. The phantom menace.
Jimmy says “you don’t eat little boys do you chewbacca’
Jimmy thinking ( yes but I do )
Ya and Jimmys creepy comments about eating boys and girls was disturbing.
That poor kid was sitting next to a dirty, hairy monster and on the other side of him was Chewbacca.
When Obi-Wan said he felt a great disturbance in the force, he was talking about Jimmy Saville
He’s a force wound
Admiral Ackbar to Daniel: "IT'S A TRAP!"
Man, Mark Hamill is so cool. He was game to make this kid's day.
And he kid probably made Savile's day too
Mark Hamill is such a cool and lovely guy.
Stupid out of touch politics though... Same as Steven King!
So true @@colliric
The presenter seems like a humble down to earth guy who loves children and would do anything to them
Yes I just think he was misunderstood
Jim was a sick pervert. Hopefully, this kid was not abused by him.
I don’t think Jimmy was into boys.
@@jackwolf1397 Unfortunately, he was. They interviewed male victims in the recent documentary that aired on Netflix

@@intello8953Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story
This kid will be 53 now. What a cool memory for a star wars fan of that time. Apart from the Saville meeting of course.
Emperor palpatine wouldn’t even like Savile
"Viceroy, I don't want this stunted slime in my sight again!"
Really heartwarming to see Mark Hamill stay in character and act so kindly towards the nervous kid, Savile notwithstanding. Would have meant the world to me to think Luke Skywalker was my friend at that age.
Rumour has it Hamill prefers boys.
@FUKAOKEVERSE Tell me something new.
Like Anakin,Jimmy’s lightsaber has ruined the lives of many younglings
lol, respects!!!
Jimmy sicko saville ruined the video
Vile Saville intro makes my skin crawl
Jimmy probably ruined the kid too..
What did he do?
@@NZealand Molested literally hundreds of kids
@@NZealand well, Jimmy Savile was a sex offender. He sexually abused children.
Remarkable footage. That bit with the picnic basket could almost have been a deleted scene from Empire. Mark is so friendly and laid back, a truly professional actor. Chewbacca coming out "naked" was an unexpected surprise, (i mean for him being there if at all).😄😆
Could have been worse - could have been Jimmy Saville coming out naked.
Too bad he's become a nutcase alcoholic.
..
Fair play to Mark Hamill, he went above and beyond to make that little boys day. He proved himself to be an absolute gent
‘Good news kid, you get to meet Luke, R2 and Chewie!’
‘What’s the bad news?’
‘…………….’
The Imperial March wasn't for Chewie, it was for Saville.
A picnic with Luke Sywalker on Dagobah would be the coolest ever Star Wars story to tell all your friends at school apart from the seedy Saville 'eating little girls' comment ending...
Chewbacca entering in darth vader theme, that was rare to digest.
I’m never seen this. 30+ years watching everything Star Wars related. This is def rare.
By reading the comments, I guess for good reason I’ve never seen it.
it was posted on a few SW/sci fi blogs in 2010 or so, I saw it then
I thought the same thing. I was like what the heck is this? Totally suprised they even did that. Lucky kid.
Whoever delibrately played Darth Vader's theme to warn the kid there's a monster nearby is probably an unsung hero. Maybe saved him from being abused.
Its impossible to enjoy this rare amazing behind the scenes of Star Wars when its bookended with the child monster Jimmy Saville, the end when he is talking to the boy totally creeps me out. It shows how vulnerable and trusting these children were and how easy it was for him to prey on them. Shame on all those people who covered for him and turned a blind eye. It took guys like Johnny rotten to standup and say the truth but they were shouted down.
The producers and execs at the BBC at the time have a lot of questions to answer. Just like Saville, they got away with it.
idk I glanced at the claims - its kinda vague didnt say anything about boys that age. Teen girls maybe ? Don't you realize that in the 60s/70s girls 14 could get married. and it wasnt taboo to hang out with guys double their age.. & what is it today? same thing - just the law protects the guy if he's young. SO if you can't enjoy it you dont have a good grasp on reality and other people control how you think....
@@barfbaby Louix Theroux's book says Savile was into rent boys
This watches like a fever dream I had when I was 5, I loved Star Wars so much, it's great at 50 to go back and watch something like this, I dreamt of it as a child
I hope this kid just knows how damn lucky he was to do this
But what did it cost him? I mean, he did sit next to Savile after all
yes, to get home safely
@@pennywisethedancingclown2246 I don’t think Saville was into boys though was he?
I wrote into Jim’ll fix it, can’t remember what I asked for though, I didn’t get chosen, mixed blessing really.
Going to Pinewood to film this must’ve been an amazing experience as a kid, hopefully the JS association hasn’t subsequently spoilt it to much for this kid.
Pinewood has changed so much now although those stages are still there and are as was then.
@@hotpotato4027 Nope, he definitely was into boys. He had over 400 victims, mostly children who were both girls and boys. Several male victims have spoken about there experiences. Hell, there's literally a video of Savile getting a stiffy when a boy was sat next to him.

Saville was the real Phantom Menace
'Have you ever heard the tale of Darth Jimmy The Nonce?'
Jimmy saville had a lightsaber of his own when they returned to the studio. Fully extended.
Chewie ' doesn't eat little boys' but jimmy does .

That lad got to visit one of the darkest most terrifying domains in the galaxy... And he got to visit the Star Wars set!
From ChatGPT: “Meeting Mark Hamill on the set of “The Empire Strikes Back” influenced Daniel Fleetwood’s career choices. Daniel Fleetwood pursued a career in the film industry, likely inspired by his memorable experience. He became a storyboard artist, working on various projects within the industry, which reflects the significant impact that his childhood experience had on his professional path.”
Seems ChatGPT got this wrong... Daniel Fleetwood was a fan who was allowed to see an unfinished version of The Force Awakens before passing away a few days later. The kid in this video has a different surname.
Luke (Mark) saying do you want an R2 back in England… when they are in England filming, meanwhile R2 was built by English people with an Englishman (Kenny Baker) inside. Proud of our contribution to these amazing films.
umm, I think he was obviously pretending to be on a different planet from England
Mark as Luke was pretending to be on Dagobah. England was outside the studio. 🙄
I clicked on this video, hoping to watch a wholesome, warm video only to be greeted by Savile in the opening few seconds. Christ.
The kid would have been safer with Vader during order 66 than sat next to fkn Saville!!!
of course because the empire did nothing wrong
Mark Hamill was wonderful to that young boy.
Unlike Savile
And he’s also well aware of how much of monster Savile was.
Was he aware Hank?
I'd say the kid was even luckier to meet Jimmy Saville and walk away with his balloon knot still intact.
🤢🤮
I believe Jim’ll f*uck it only liked girls
Lol
😂
Fixing that little boys dreams to come true. What a lovely man uncle Jimmy is .
A true national treasure in every sense of the word
I've been a star wars fan since the OT and have never seen this before. What the lucky little sob.
So long as he avoided Savile's clutches.
This reminds me of Bad luck Bryan:

It's on jimmy savilles show
The 70’s must have been Glorious years. I was born in 86, but can only imagine the magic of that era when Star Wars came out
Great video!!! Thank you so much for posting it. I have never seen it.
4:28 I loved the clip that mark played for the kid.
It really paints the picture.
Jimmy was the Herbert version of Obi Wan
I don’t remember R2 being able to spawn in full picnic baskets in the movies
Didn't realize he could vaporize young children at will too.

@@davefox7516 Arranged by Jimmy Savile! What could go wrong?
This reminds me of the video the OT cast did with Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok) when he was a boy on the set of Return of the Jedi. Even Harrison Ford played along for Warwick's enjoyment.
Everyone’s talking about that sicko Saville, but wow this kid is lucky to have actually met Mark Hamill in-character as Luke Skywalker. As in, the guy we all saw in the movie itself. Costume and everything
If he lived to today, he's probably disappointed.
Making Chewbacca give this kid a medal after just getting stiffed in Star Wars might be the cruelest thing Jimmy Savile did.
Rest of the world viewers: oh wow what a day!
UK viewers: oh god no!
I didn't know who this interviewer was until I read the comment section after seeing this video, and when he said you like to eat boys???? that creeped me out.
They showed the SMALLEST clip from Empire, & that's when I lost it 🤣🤣🤣
Probably cut it like that to avoid the upload getting a copyright strike or taken down?
It obviously was longer originally.

Lucky? That is a serious understatement.
Lucky to meet Savile? Hmmmmm
He put a smile on the faces of many children, and I don't believe what the media say about him.
For those of you who are curious about some of the comments below, Jimmy Savile is the host of the show you're watching here called Jim'll Fix It. The show was a smash hit in the U.K. During his lifetime there were rumors that he was doing some pretty unsavory sexual things with small children but no one actually finished that particular investigation because he was, nationally speaking, beloved and considered a national treasure. So everyone turned a blind eye. After his death, however, 219 victims were discovered in a span from 1955 until 2009. The stories are horrific and include open access to an entire school.
Jeez-Louise! I never heard of this Savile until I read all the comments.
Apparently he had free rein through several children hospitals too. His own set of keys.
He was being protected by two of his close buddies: the current king of the UK and his brother. The queen even knighted him, despite the horrible abuse!
4:28 - Here's a clip of the movie. The clip is 1 second.
That was the best part. Worth a repeat viewing.
Clips and trailers often get muted for copyright or the entire video gets blocked. It was edited out.
@@TvFilmMedia No I think they only played 1 second of it and the kid said he liked it which how can that be true that kid is a liar
lol I thought they were trolling the poor kid. “Here’s exactly 400 milliseconds of footage from The Empire Strikes Back, did you like that?”
Luke mentioned the pub scene with all the creepy crawlies and there was one waiting for him when he got back home!
"6:20" says it all.
Sick bastard he was.
💀
Was gonna say 🤮
bloody hell, the look in his eyes..
Wow , that literally is the luckiest kid ever !
Yes he was very lucky Jim didnt fix him.
Forget about the Savile bookends, what an amazing and one off, one of a kind experience for that kid! How many people can truly say they have been on "Dagobah"? And on top of that met Luke Skywalker in full character and costume! (Oh, and R2!). Watching it makes me wonder if he maybe saw or glanced the Yoda puppet (unlikely probably hidden away from prying eyes). And also I wonder if this kid got any photos and also where is he now!
I wonder if that kid still remembers this special day!😊
Me too. But, he might be in his 50s.
I would say he couldn't possibly ever forget. Jimmy Saville was there! Hard to say what happened to that little boy?
@FUKAOKEVERSE ?😂
UNTILL HE MET THAT FILTHY CIGAR MUNCHING PERVERT
I bet he does, the fact that he got home safely
I would have shit myself meeting Mark Hamill (Luke), Chewbacca, etc. as a kid. Im so glad I got to bring Star Wars characters to my house for my kids to meet growing up being an artist for Star Wars. I never dreamed Id have my own Stormtrooper costume, etc.
Besides the obvious that we know about the host, Daniel was a very lucky boy and I wonder if he's still about, I think this clip is incredible, not scene this before and it really is an amazing find.
Never forget how the BBC covered for Saville
Oh God! The bbc 😢
One second in: Oh no.
I must have wrote that letter 100 times…. Good job i was an ugly kid
Why did they play the imperial march theme when chewbacca walked on?
And why was he in the nude?

To warn the kid for the extremely dangerous predator next to him who hosted the show.
So sweet of a period of time in history great kid too!

That kid was very lucky , no way would this happen today.
I miss the days when star wars is full of honor & dignity unlike the Disney sequel trilogy.
What honor? Selling toys for kids since day one?
@@al112v4 Yup ! How do you know ?
@@al112v4 Star Wars fans bitched about ROTJ and the prequels just like they bitch about the sequels now.
Star Wars only has "honor and dignity" until Lucasfilm makes a new one after the kids who watched them grow up.
Watch, in 20 years the sequels will become another sacred cow to the fandom as the kids who grew up with them become adults.
Just like what happened with the prequels.
@FUKAOKEVERSE Phantom Menace merchandise shelf-warmed so bad it killed Kenner.
Everything people say about the sequels now was said about the prequels.
Kids don't care about the new characters, the toys aren't selling, the new lore ruins the force, Anakin's backstory ruined Darth Vader, Padme and Ahsoka are unlikable mary sues forced on us because of political correctness etc...
This is what happens when you mix A.I. to make a short story about Star Wars on Earth. Lukes First Date and the interviewer was the Emperor. The kid was in horror realizing he was still stuck in OZ at the end......still epic footage from a classic era.
Jimmy Saville was so kind on making kids dreams come true. We all make mistakes.👍

Such a heartwarming moment? With Jimmy bloody Savile?!?!!
@@pennywisethedancingclown2246 I understand your concern, and I want to clarify my comment. My focus was entirely on the memorable experience Daniel had meeting Mark Hamill and visiting the Star Wars set. Mark Hamill's kindness and Daniel's excitement were the highlights for me.
I in no way endorse or overlook the reprehensible actions of Jimmy Savile. It's important to report such behavior to the authorities.
