This is one of the reasons Shayne is a good face for Smosh... he can be in a video by himself, and is still doing his best to validate, appreciate and champion all of his coworkers.
Plus he clearly excelled by himself for more than an hour (I'm guessing the shoot ran at least that long if not more). Not easy to keep the audience engaged by yourself.
As I have learned from another commenter, apparently it's difficult to sit next to him during lunch cause his table's always full. He's the popular kid in school basically, but the good kind. Popular because he's just a good dude.
Yessss but also throw in Nacho Libre there for Shayne coz I haven't seen that since 2007 Edit: 3 Idiots too. That's a feel good movie. I watched Nacho Libre and 3 Idiots a lot when it came out coz I watched it with family or friends but I just realized it's been a decade or more since I last saw them.
Shayne listing all of Courtney's perfectly way back in the beginning and again at the end when hers popped up. Also, the fact that he got all the cast members correct is so sweet.
I LOVE these Shayne guesses videos. It not only gives us uninterrupted Shayne and his awesome thought process, it helps us learn the crew individually, when we love them collectively already. It's fun learning the cast and crew's favorite movies....and also how they slap lol

I love this “Can Shayne guess…?” series. Great way to use his psychology degree and just show how he interacts with others in the office. He got 69% (24/35) correct! So 70% is. Good target. 😄

To be fair that kinds of stuff usually will ultimately depends on the CEO themselves, in my experience if a CEO were friendly and down to earth then their employees will bound to make friends with them (for more than one reason obviously)
On top of that, she's only been the CEO since Ian & Anthony bought the company back from Mythical. So either Shayne picked up on something about her in just a few months, or there was some pre-existing familiarity there that we just don't know about.
He didn't predict her favourite movies. He identified her, picking from a fairly small pre-determined group of people that he knows, after being GIVEN her favourite movies. That is far less difficult than predicting her favourite movies.

It took a lot of deliberation to think about what I would choose if I was in those shoes (It came down to Scott Pilgrim V.S. the world, Joker 2019, and Interstellar) but even then there are a lot of runner ups and I think my choices could honestly change on a whim if you asked me another time.

This is a master series in what it means to take a genuine interest in people. Recently watched High School musical for the first time. Was waiting for the big musical they were auditioning for as a grand finale… turns out the audition was the actual end and I laughed so hard at how successful these movies became with that ending

Shayne getting excited about Spirited Away made me so happy 😊. I've nearly watched all the Ghibli films but Spirited Away really does have the most incredible soundtrack.... so does Howls Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke. Also the sound design for The Wind Rises is insane. The sound effects for the earthquake, engines/trains etc are made with human voices - its really affecting.
Even when Shayne gets it wrong he still shows so much insight into each person. I'm also using this vid to get ideas of what to watch the next few weekends

Anthony's movie choices are very interesting. One is Gladiator, the other 2 are Home Alone. That, like, covers such a broad range.
He said before in an Old Smosh Christmas video that Home Alone 1 & 2 are in his top favorite Christmas movies list.

Recently watched High School musical for the first time. Was waiting for the big musical they were auditioning for as a grand finale… turns out the audition was the actual end and I laughed so hard at how successful these movies became with that ending

Shayne getting excited about Spirited Away made me so happy 😊. I've nearly watched all the Ghibli films but Spirited Away really does have the most incredible soundtrack.... so does Howls Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke.
Also the sound design for The Wind Rises is insane. The sound effects for the earthquake, engines/trains etc are made with human voices - its really affecting.
The Wind Rises is my favorite Ghibli movie by far! Glad to see someone else appreciates it too

Shayne has to be literally the absolute best person to have in your life. Not only does he pay attention enough to know his friends bas d off of things like books and movies but he also has over 35 friends at 30?? That's extremely impressive.
