Just an FYI for anyone out there who may be curious, this is actual a bad thing to do when raising a kid. It could curb your kid's language development, because even if the baby/toddler can't speak yet, it can hear and process information, albeit in stages and obviously not as effectively as a young kid would. Another reason why reading to children, even if they can't read yet, is also very important in language development :)

@@somerando79 not necessarily; there are cultures where they don't talk directly to kids before they can speak because of just different views/norms on that and the kids turn out fine. even if you don't talk TO a baby, you still talk around them and they'll still hear language and absorb it. i know it's good to mimic a baby's babbles back at them and stuff but not doing that isn't enough to truly mess up a baby's language development

And if you watched the Livestream sometimes she would cycle through all of those keys so many times (hence, accidentally including the panic in that which I would do) and it wouldn't stop and then it would stop randomly like when Shayne held him. I think newer ones will probably have sensors to know when it's being held because even when she was panicking she was still trying her best to rock him and pat him. As a fellow ADHDer mom, I felt so bad for her when she forgot those keys because that's 100% something I would do. She never actually neglected him, though some of the things she did at the park just to be silly were definitely not things you should do with a baby but I don't think she actually would. I think maybe they could have done a better job of explaining what counts as abuse or neglect. If it's anything like the baby I had in home ec if you let its neck fall back it would be recorded as abuse. And bouncing it upside down would likely be as well. I don't think he mentioned the neck thing to her, or shaken baby syndrome. She didn't go to a normal high school and hasn't been around babies much so if they decide to go further with this, they could have her attend a new parents class (online, in person, set up by staff, whatever), and/or, go through the footage and explain where she went right (a little bit of GENTLENESS goes a long way) and where she could potentially have put the baby in danger. I'd actually love to see her learn about shaken baby syndrome, there's videos that show what happens in their little heads and how it happens. Then after learning all the things maybe she gets a redemption turn with Cho. I'd love to see Chanse do it too (also, how adorable is Changela that Angela, without hesitation went "I'm this baby's mom therefore Chanse is his Uncle" because that's the kind of friends they are 😍 and Chanse agreeing to hold the baby once he could see Angela was genuinely going to take it personally if he didn't).
PLEASE make this a whole series with others too. I NEED Ian being a working parent.

That's possible ofc, but chosen is just such a big part of the channel, and in the sims games Spencer and Shayne had baby chosen so it's an established character by now. I mean, it would hardly be shocking if any actual smosh babies show up in the coming years, but those things are better to not speculate on

Definitely would've set off some alarms with the fake baby I had in school. Mine also required you to do the actions, not just use a key as representation. Like 2 diapers you'd need to switch between for a diaper change.
And it had slightly different cries, depending on the need. By the end of it I knew what was needed most of the time, just based on the cry.

My youngest is waaaay younger than my others and when he was a baby, I had some serious PPD, which I'd never experienced before. I think it was my age? Idk.
I HATED to hear him cry. It physically hurt me. I would start crying. I genuinely couldn't function when he cried. And not in the ugh this baby won't shut up way, but in a he's hurting (he wasn't) and I can't help way. Felt so hopeless to help. We'd both be bawling. My poor hubby! Human bodies are crazy.

Angela was the perfect choice for this because she's the perfect combination of neurotic, willing to bond with inanimate objects, and willing to commit to something way too hard. Other candidates would fall flatter than her in one of those three categories.

That was the main reason I knew when I saw Cho on the Livestream, especially once the jerry's came out, that they must be doing this kind of video. You don't carry a thousands of dollars baby doll into work just to make people ask questions. I remember my home ec teacher making a point of telling us how expensive they were.

Chanse and Keith could bring back Song Machine with Josh! Arasha is always super competitive so she could host some kind of competition show. Would just love to see everyone have their dedicated shows to shine in!

@@dika_hilman that's where I was getting the idea from. I know they've said they didn't like it because they were "trying to sell shows to advertisers," so they would be thrown in shows they had no real interest or experience in. This would allow them to have shows that actually interest them and could put their heart and soul into to succeed
1000%. I have when people call Shayne the backbone of Smosh because I'm like yes, he's super fucking talented and has some fantastic ideas and hosting skills but look at this cast! The days that Shayne is *needed* in every video in order to get clicks are done. Angela can hold her own. I can definitely see her hosting a show... Or co-hosting like the Chanse and Angela show (please can we have more?) or co-hosting something with Tommy. And, to be clear, I'm only suggesting co-hosts because she's got such a great dynamic with everyone, not because I don't believe in her ability to fully host a show. She does have Starkid production too right now though.
