The Nurse case is especially concerning because of how likely it is that one could get away with it. If for example the killer was able to restrain themselves and only poison one patient every 3 months, They could murder 40 people in a decade.
As small as England? America is barely over 200 yrs old, England with all its glory and gore has been around for over 10000 yrs. Just saying, language develops over many, many years. Europe is called "the old country" for a reason. My city alone is over 1100 yrs old.
In terms of the 'nurse aid' where did she get access to all the insulin? - Who kept stock of all the medication and didn't they notice the depletion. Because as far as I can remember with this case they found a substantial amount in the nurses house

Some shows use this logic correctly others really don't, but I have seen so many I can't point to a specific example as they have all become a blur at this point.
