So in this challenge, your goal is to stay alive out on the rails for as long as possible. Simple, right? You have to start from the northern rail connecting the Ocean Realm to the Forest Realm. And that means you need the force gem you get from delivering 10 fish from Papuchia Village to the lady in Castle Town. And that means you need the freight car, which means you have to have reached the Fire Realm. So you do need to be far enough in the game. You also need to be far enough in the game that BOTH dark trains or bomb trains or whatever you want ot call them will appear in the Forest Realm. Even if you are far enough, sometimes the tanks will be present instead of the enemy trains. If this happens, turn of your DS and reenter the Forest Realm.
So once you get all that straightened out, you can move onto the actual challenge. You have several restrictions during the challenge. One, you speed must remain at maximum throughout the entire challenge. If you saved at the starting place, switch immediately to full throttle. So that means no slowing down, no going in reverse if you change your mind about which direction to go, and no stopping at Castle Town or any other stops to grab a cup of coffee. Second, you must remain on the patrol route of the enemy trains, shown at 1:21 in the video. That means no warp gates! It's also marked on my top screen map, but it's a little blurry. The moment you go out of bounds is the moment your timer stops. Since this is a survival challenge, you are aiming for as high of a time as possible. The timer begins the moment you set off from the designated starting location. Your timer will also stop the moment your train begins to explode from hitting an enemy train or you switch out of full throttle. That leads to the third and final limitation: you can fire your cannon, just not at the enemy trains. There shouldn't be any other enemies so you will not really need to, but accidentally firing it at the ground or at rocks is fine. The timer will also stop if and when one of your cannonballs hits another train.

Legitimate (meaning no Action Replay or emulators) records posted as video responses to this video will be considered official times, while records posted in comments will not be. But again, you can still post it as a comment. For example, this video, which has a time of 12 minutes and 21 seconds, or 12:21, is my best official record since there is video evidence of it. I did not capture my best time of 34:17 on video, and thus have no way of proving it. So 12:21 is my best official record, while my best unofficial one is 34:17. Since all records for this must be either a video response to this video or a comment in this video, please cite this video in your record's description. This will ensure that the record keeping will remain organized. Good luck!

i had odd dream where a train chased me around each realm
my train: full spirit train set
chasing train: steel engine, dragon canon, wood passenger car, golden freight car
A few days ago I beat this game with all tracks restored shortly after I got the full golden train set I will try this out

@BOB74j Ill send you a picture of my challenge routes along with my rules and alterations such as going through all 4 realms patrol routes?
@BOB74 ik but couldnt we set up different challenges with different starting points like the sand temple Ice temple etc?
im in. I have a harder one. Patrol around the ice temple when armored and bomb trains are about same rules apply except for armored any alteratons?
