How to setup Goodwe Inverter Wifi Monitoring Platform

- Through this video you can learn how to set up wifi monitoring for Goodwe inverter.
1. Power on the inverter. The Power light should be double blinking if WIFI has not already been set up.
2. Note the inverter serial number and check code from the label on the right side of the inverter.
3. Click on the WIFI networks icon on your computer and select “Solar-Wifi”.
4. Click Connect and Enter the password 12345678 and then OK
5. If the inverter serial number begins with 9 then open a web browser and enter 10.10.100.253. If it begins with a 1 then the last three digits need to be 254.
6. Enter ‘admin’ for both user name and password
7. Click “Start Setup”
8. Select the name of your home WIFI network and click Next
9. Enter your Home network password, Next and Continue.
10. Go to the inverter and check that the Power LED has stopped double blinking. This means that the inverter is now able to communicate through your home router.
11. Click your WIFI network icon and reconnect to your home network
12. Now you need to create a new Goodwe monitoring account www.semsportal....
1. Click Register
2. Enter your email and password. You should get an instant on screen confirmation.
3. Login using your email and password.
4. Click Settings (top right) and the Plant Setup (left panel)
5. Click CREATE and then scroll down
6. Change the plant name to something you like (e.g. Bob and Mary in Baldivis)
7. Enter the total kW of panel (e.g. 6.6) under Capacity
8. Click in Map and enter your address, select it from the list and click Okay.
9. Ignore the ‘Detailed Address’ and ‘Distributor code’ boxes
10. Enter the amount of solar panels (e.g. 22) and click Submit
11. When message box comes up click ADD
12. Select the Plant (e.g. Bob and Mary in Baldivis) that you just created.
13. Click on Add
14. Enter the Inverter name (you can enter something simple like Goodwe 5KW)
15. Enter the inverter serial number and check code taken from the label on your inverter
16. Click Submit Once you have done this, you can now install the Goodwe app onto your phone. Find SEMS Portal in your store and then enter your email and password to login. That’s it. The rest is fairly straight-forward and we’ll let you play with it.

Wifi is required to connect the inverter with internet 🛜, so that you can see on your mobile how much solar is producing through online Applications & also it helps to do regular updates.

Hello. I have a goodwee inverter GW 5048D-ES

I HAVE 10X 330W CANADIAN POLY PANELS 72 CELLS
NOW I WANT TO ADD MORE PANELS . BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO OBTAIN THE SAME 330W.
CAN I ADD ON ANOTHER SIZE.
Yes you can by using tigo optimisers underneath new panels. Speak to goodwe they will guide you the string management
How I can delete the inverter from the old plants that I don't know ,
Or to reset the connection to the plant from my inverter.
Call Goodwe call center they will confirm your ownership and delete or add the inverter from old plant online to new one.
My Wi-Fi name get changed and serial number got deleted from Wi-Fi name and then connection got disconnected. What to do as this is happening again and again
Try to follow same process again and configure with new wifi name and password. Alternatively just call goodwe helpline they will sort that out for you
How do I connect via LAN?
What if I don't know the capacity? On the side of the inverter is has a table of information but nothing is in KWH
Check the model number, if it’s 5000 then 5kw capacity if it’s 10000 then 10 kw so on.
The important part of web the address you have listed is incorrect. It should start with “https” not http.😢

Followed steps, inverter now on home Wi-Fi, but no data coming from SEMS website after registering.
Is that fixed now ?
I have for quite awhile trying to connect my inverter to my wifi. Basically.. garbage.
Go to my wifi settings, click on my inverter wifi name, enter 12345678.
Tells me can't connect to wifi. I am getting the total run around
NOT HAPPY at all. All of this so I can see from my phone what my inverter is making. You got to do better.🤬
Goodwe wifi disconnect and reconnect problem, it occurs frequently
1. Check the wifi signal strength at inverter end.
2. Raise the concern so that goodwe team can check if there is any issue with inverter’s dongle.

Hello. Is there a way to access the Wi-Fi settings in the Voltronic inverter? The same inverter shown in the video was connected to the Internet and the Watch Power program was running normally, and suddenly it stopped.
