Dr Sorcha Hume - Friends at the End

A medical doctor by profession, Dr Sorcha Hume held a number of senior positions in third sector organisations in Aberdeen before taking on the role of CEO at Friends at the End. Sorcha first became involved in the assisted dying debate when she worked as a researcher for a Member of the Scottish Parliament and heard firsthand from practitioners from other jurisdictions where assisted dying has been legalised. In her presentation Sorcha counters arguments that legalised assisted dying could put people with disabilities at risk.
