Wish they would turn down the music when someone is speaking, I can’t hear a word skipper says when he’s describing his boat. Something about the galley on deck and sleeping quarters and engine being forward?
Not too many wooden ones left fishing here in the uk now, I think the last wooden one buily I can remember was 33 feet built to be under ten meters long rule and that was 1998
the iron cow and the miss penny both where lost at sea. the miss penny being lost was renamed the Andrea Gail with all crew aboard lost and the iron cow bing lost with all crew saved.
PORT IS ALWAYS TO YOUR LEFT WHEN YOU ARE SURE YOU ARE FACING THE FORWARD OR FRONT PART OF THE BOAT. While a bow thruster is a type of propulsion at the STERN or rear of a vessel normally found in equal quantities on both sides to ensure balance of the thrusters with the added centuries old tried tested and true screw shaped propeller on a shaft in the center of the ship, or a "prop" or what ever, propeller. not to be confused with the concept of multiple outboard motors or the physics of barges and towing etc.
I THINK NEWFOUNDLAND COULD POSSIBLY RECEIVE GOOD SIZE SHIPMENTS OF GRAIN AT PORT HARMON, STEPHENVILLE, CORNER BROOK PORT, C.B.S.Long Pond Manuels, St. Anthony South superport Cremaline Harbour or Cremailier or Crueller or Croissont Cove or Crusty Cove with a side of bacon, it's none of my busines what the mayor of Roddictown has for breakfast in the morning, sure. Any other good grain ports in LABRADOR, ANYONE? HI! LOVE to HOPEDALE, MAKKOVIK and south and Lance au Loup, the presumptive capital of southern Labrador.
Youse all went and got all yer fish, crabs an herring and lobsters an caplin an seals and whatever from da island , can youse now git up on da LABRADOR and rip off all youse can git up deer , er ave yas got dat done already ? ?
Letting government dictate economic activity will lead to bureaucratic impediments to common sense problem solving -Sails went out when engines were developed out of the need for power not dependent upon winds- y’all lucky the government is not mandating sails because of sail makers
It would be better if this great collection of cbc heritage had the accurate date the episode's were released
7:09 What's that port in the side of the ship? A bow thruster?

I don't understand why the Canadian regs are so difficult. I am from the USA side, on Lake Superior.
Big government loves regulation and oversight

Being a Fisherman myself I have heard numerous times it's bad luck to change a boats name
Miss Penny was renamed Andrea Gail.
Thats Proof that its bad luck to change the name of a vessel
Just wondering what year this was filmed in? 1982? 1983?
