I don't know about displaying them, but if you have a loose disk that doesn't work anymore you could glue some cork to the bottom and use it as a drink coaster.
I use an Anko 2x4 cube unit for storing my home console games (NES, Sega, SNES, PlayStation 1&2, GameCube, Wii) with my six game systems on the top part of the shelves.
Ikea is truly great. Its a great balance of cost to quality. Plus i love being able to get extra shelves or parts to add on. Your collection is drool worthy always glad to get your ok!
Billy shelves are the boss. Nice idea with those clear bins.. toys under games looks cool and I've never think of that. I have a challenge for you... I need to buy a couch or two for my new gaming room asap. I have no idea what to get. Two couches because retro games face one direction and modern games or 90 degrees in the other direction. Now that my new game room is almost all hooked up, I need a place to sit :P
Oof!! This ones real tricky! For couches i again go with ikea and typically get something thqts grey because that works with whatever colors you have around. But definitely going to need a comfort test on a couch since gaming can be a lot of sitting. Hmm ill take a look around!
If there were only two items that i could have to display it would be those shelves and the tiered nailpolish display. they have been the best bang for the buck and look adult and professional. I really focus on things that show the games vs the stands for my personal collection. many ideas i have here i dont use personally but these are awesome! The Billy is an absolute staple of collecting it seems like. I might have to invest in some of the clear acrylics sometime, mainly because I wonder if they'd be good for displaying video game soundtracks? I love seeing 3D printed solutions for these! That ending segment- did you speed ramp one continuous shot for that? That looked pretty slick :p
Love me some ikea! The last shot is definitely a speed ramp shot. I move the camera continuously between items and semi irratically and increase the speed on those portions to get that effect. Was just goofing around with the camera one day when i originally did it but I think it worked out great!
Game cubes been the most challenging yet! But I am not done with it yet! I need to find some cool ways to display those cool little disks! Apprecoate you taking time to come by!
Ive got 2 of the Billy bookcases from Ikea but I like the smaller bookcase you showed from Ikea also, I’ll have to check that out. As always you have fantastic ideas for showing off your amazing collection
Great video and ideas, every time I think of spending money on shelves for my room I always change my mind and use the money for games instead. Most of my furniture is free shelves , tables and home made shelves with old wood laying around. At some point I know I will need to bite the bullet.

I really like how the stackables come together! The way it looks with the Amiibo in the bottom and then the games on top looks really, really sharp! That opens up so many possibilities for other collection display ideas--like put some Zelda figures/merch in the bottom and stack the game collection on top!
I recommend flowers and whatever else she tends to like! But some of these can even be done on a smaller scale as well. I was very lucky to have a guest room to be able to play with. Appreciate you coming by and giving the video a look! Have a great week!

Maybe I missed this in a previous video, but could you give any thoughts about storing the collectible coins that you sometimes get with limited editions and games? For instance, when I purchased Mario Odyssey, I received a collector's coin. There's also one in the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate if you get it from Best Buy. Any thoughts on displaying these?
So far the best thing ive found for coins are military coin displays. They are designed to hold up a bunch of coins and show their art. You can find at least one of those on amazon currently. Im still looking for more ways to display these and I'll let you know if i find them!
I do not agree when it comes to saving space. I am looking away from IKEA as I need now something that is deeper than 30 cm to store the games and save space. I guess I will ask a shop to make me one shelf for one specific collection to fit it all in :-) Shelf deeper means then also that I can put something in front of the games for displaying a game or displaying a small statue or other goodies that go with the game collection. I went for the full set for one gamecube line. Therefore, need save space 🙂 The ideas are awesome to display just a small set of something special. I like the crystal clear stacking idea for gamecubes. Could make a huge shelf out of it? I dont think so due to weight?
