Adding him to Houston would really open up our offense, while adding much needed help on defense.
Houston in transition would be a nightmare. JG/Sengun/Jabari is really good. It’s pretty much JG/Sengun/Wood, except Bari wouldn’t be a major defensive liability and won’t be one of the worst, if not worst free throw shooters. I have far more confidence in Bari’s shotmaking ability as well. Those middies Wood desperately attempts Bari can actually get off.

I think this just convinced me he is the pick for us at 1 (hopefully) over Chet. Could you imagine him, Green, and Sengun in the half court and fast breaks? Sheesh! Not to mention he fits perfectly!

@@LofiTryfe Houston will do both with either Jabari or Chet. Both would give Houston much needed defense and more offense. The Rockets lack height so I wouldn't be mad with either choice.

@@KingDayDayDay00 let me rephrase: Chet is the guy I like the most on offense and defense. Both sides of the ball. Add in his elite defensive capabilities and unbelievable offensive efficiency. He is the guy. BUT I don't trust his body will hold up. From Kristaps, Ralph Sampson, Bol Bol..... I don't trust he will stay healthy. Hence, I'll go with Jabari. I like him as well, but for different reasons.

His perfect team is OKC. They need size and shooting and have playmakers to get him the ball. And then they can draft/trade for a perfect center to fit the team and they’ll be in a great spot.

Would be great on the Spurs if they can manage to move up (yea I know long shot)
They are #1 is assists per game, #1 in assist to turnover ratio, very team oriented offense, got a excellent defensive big man in Poeltl and a two-way All-Star PG in Dejounte Murray.
More importantly, it would move Keldon down to the 3 spot where he won’t be undersized anymore and his +40% from 3 shooting would greatly help space the offense.

@@sonnyc2539 this makes absolutely no sense. Why play against worse talent to prepare for nba when he could easily be selected top 3 and gain experience in the nba you know by actually going up against nba players. Staying longer in college isn’t going to help a player become more prepared for the nba. That’s a old head take. Best way to be prepared for nba is by actually playing nba talent. You literally just made up that “one and done is a growing trend with busts” when literally majority of drafted players in the top picks are one and done. Players have realized there’s no point in staying and risking injury in college (which staying extra year risk hurting draft spot) so they go into the league and get PAID and learn how to be a professional. Staying in college for 4 years won’t make you anymore prepared than the 1 year. So many examples out there lol. For this last draft class. Davion Mitchell and Chris duarte both 4 year college guys who didn’t have good rookie years while guys like Jalen green (0 college) Cade,(1 year), Scottie (1 year), Franz( 1 year), Mobley ( 1 year). Hell even Darius college played less than 10 games now he’s a top 5 PG.

@@zampy8706 College doesn't make you better? Tell that to Tracy McGrady who would have greatly benefited from playing some college hoops. He would’ve learned a lot more about team play and self-discipline which was lacking in McGrady's game hence why the only thing he knew how to do was score. He wasn't a good passer and didn't know how to make his teammates better, those skills you learn in college. David Stern implemented the one and done rule in 2005 because the top high school players at that time weren't ready for the NBA, he didn't want those players coming to the NBA ruining his brand. I think the one and done rule should be extended to one more year, make it two and done. The fact is a lot of these one and dones would be a lot better players had they stayed longer in college.

I like Jabari on a team that has an abundance of primary/secondary ball handlers already on the team. A team that you didn't put as a fit for him, that I feel makes sense is the Orlando Magic.
They already have Suggs + Fultz as primary ballhandlers and Franz + Anthony as secondary ball handlers.
I wouldn't like for him to be making decisions with the ball in his hands a lot (At least early in his career), which would probably relegate him to being a C&S/off-ball scorer.
The shot making and defensive upside that a Jabari/Franz front court could have playing together would be intriguing to watch.
If (Big If) Isaac can come back healthy and continue to show the high level of defensive IQ that made him special, then it would be hard imo to find a better young core of front court players in the league. WCJ (22), Isaac (24), Jabari (19), Franz (20) & Chuma (23).

@@kingdomthinker9794 I mean I wouldn’t exactly put Carsen Edwards on that list, because I don’t expect him to be an important player on the team going forward. It’s really just Cade & Killian as their main ball handlers.
If you said OKC with Shai, Giddey & Mann then I would like that better. Also it’s worth noting that they have a huge hole at the 4, and Jabari would slot nicely there.
I still like Jabari’s fit on the Pistons though, him and Saddiq would be a fun front court duo (If they like him more at the 3 than at the 4). I just don’t want him being in awkward decision making situations where he has to do things with the ball that he’s not comfortable doing.

Y’all gotta understand, he’s finishing is gonna improve drastically once in the nba just bc spacing alone. That finishing in college is a false narrative bc in college the center doesn’t have to leave the paint at all

    • @yuuki_

It’s not a false narrative, he’s just not good at the rim. Banchero and Ivey both have centers in the paint too but still had better percentages inside

SGA, Giddy, Poku (Developed), Smith and Duren would be absolutely insane. Of course OKC would have to trade the 15th, 30th pick and Dort to move back up for him but I would do it

better guard play and running more plays for him he could look alot better, especially when the jumper doesn't fall.
    Also a great defender!!!
