Matt -no bashing intended here - please do some research on what it takes to get a FIA SuperLicense. I’m not saying there aren’t “pay drivers” in even the highest levels, but getting a Superlicense is NOT a simple journey. It’s NOT simply proving you can get a car around a track.
Not to mention, that Lance stroll was a part of the Ferrari academy and won several feeder series, like F4 and F3.
So it's not all about his dad's money.

Thank you for saying this. I just shook my head as he was talking. There are gentlemen driver's in other forms of motorsport, but in F1 is a stretch.
The money only gets you to a point if you are average enough to get the 40 points over 3 years which isn't easy if you are truly terrible or new because you need to finsh near the top to get the maximum points then you need billionaire backers to buy 1 of the 20 seats Zhou had to bring 30 million in sponsors to get his seat even he still had to finish top 3 this year in F2 to get the points needed. The driving round the track to get the points would take a very long time and would never happen if he means the FP laps you do that.

About the VIN checking, ANY police officer anywhere in the country can perform a VIN check (this is a free service), and that is accepted in any state. I imported a car from another country, called the local PD, and they sent an officer. He did the check, signed the form, I mailed the docs, and got my license and registration in the mail a couple weeks later. Just letting you know since I'm sure you'll need that service many more times.

An advice for racing in a budget...rent your car and support Team. Way cheaper, and you race when you want without having too much equipment to maintain.

Growing up and as the years went on for me it was McLaren F1, then Pagani Zonda, then Koenigsegg CCX

I think it’s because koenigsegg is kinda “new” so they don’t have a childhood attachment to it. People in their 20s right now would say koenigsegg when they’re on a podcast in their 50s.

I was at Tom's Vegas show last July. Vegas was not ready. Line around the hotel/casino. There was no real chance to drink without missing the show. But, bottom line, we were ecstatic to finally be at a live show. It was great.
