Can imagine what it’s like for a girl of Amira’s age to stand on a stage with a full orchestra of professional adults behind you, an audience of a thousand plus people in front of you and she is expected to be perfect and lead them! She does it with calm confidence.
My friend there were 9000 people there that night.... And it was beyond amazing! The climax was so powerful it felt like her sound went through you... You were pinned to your seat by the sound. As strong as the pipes and vocals were, her voice just soared above everything else.

I will try to combine all the love she has given me! My Korean wife, Sue, of 49 loving and caring years; had bone marrow cancer. Amira was a significant impact on my 3 year recovery of clinical depression. I have so many Amira songs to suggest. I know that Amira and her friends (3 female and 5 male singers) sing the best and most beautiful rendition of Frank Sinatra’s classic, “My Way.” This the best orchestration and arrangement next to Sinatra’s. As a Christian since the age of 8, and now 67 years old, I have heard and sung "Amazing Grace" literally countless times. This is the most angelic and "amazingly graceful" rendition I have ever heard! I love Amira both as a singer and as a magnificent human being for the wonderful, kind, compassionate, joyful heart she has! God has blessed her to be a blessing to others!

I purchased the DVD's there are so many great talents ( of people here in the USA never heard of) in the shows and fabulous Orchestra's. Those of us whose ancestors were from England, Scotland, Denmark, Ireland... are usually thrilled when we hear that song played on bag Pipes. My family has been in the US since the 1600's and I am, from my DNA still thrilled and brought to tears when I hear it. The Pipes are originally are from Israel, and were used for centuries by the Israelites. God even instructed Israel how to make them and that the wind part had to be made from the stomach of a clean animal. You, being of the tribes of Israel, have DNA that responds to that sound. Dear Tauri, the bagpipes got to me too. And my connection is just thatmy mother's family just came to America from Ireland. Did you see Amira do that proper very deep curtsy at the end? I have started using a curtsy whenever it is called for since I have seen Amira and Angelina Jordan do it so much and every time I do curtsy it brings smiles so I am going to keep doing it. Yes I agree with that very much!! But Dimash has to stay in the Tenor registers because that is the best contrast to the Angelic and pure voice of Amira. I love her too so much she is so so so so sooooo good!!
Pipes playing "Amazing Grace" are used so much here in the US at funerals (especially for police and firefighters) that I think we are becoming dulled to their spectacular presence. At my funeral (many years hence!) I would choose instead "Cullen Bay"; that's got a lovely ring to it! It's incredible to think that at this concert Amira was just 13 or so. In an interview she did late in 2016 she said singing made her feel like she was flying. Indeed! She arrived at Holland's Got Talent in 2013 with a voice trained by watching UA-cam videos. She moved pretty quickly to getting a vocal coach, of course, and her voice and technique have improved. I'm not an opera fan, but Amira and Laura Bretan have won me over. I don't see how a voice can be more pure and perfect than Amira, and she's 13 in this performance. WOW! This is easily my favorite performance of this iconic song that has been performed 1000's of times. The song itself has such a meaningful history, since it was written by a former slave runner, who himself was instrumental in England abolishing slavery in 1806. So Amira joins Angelina and Laura as my favorite singers. If you haven't seen Laura Bretan's audition on AGT in 2016 at 13, it is one of the most mind blowing performances I have ever seen. I love these three beautiful and amazingly blessed young ladies too! I discovered them (thank God!) just before Covid made its "grand entrance"! Are you also familiar with Lucy Thomas who is from England? She also is a beautiful young lady with an extraordinarily gorgeous voice -- and a solid, down-to-earth, value-based character to match (just like Amira, Laura, and Angelina). She has the "Lucy Thomas Music" channel on UA-cam. She's done many solos (also beautiful duets with her also-talented younger sister Martha) of great classics. There are also incredibly beautiful songs from a musical called "Rosie" which she has co-written and is co-producing with playwright / songwriter Chris Broom. She will be starring in it sometime in 2024 at London's famous West End Theatre. Her videos range from age 9 or 10; she just recently turned 19.

And as you pointed out, the same can be said for Angelina, Amira, and Laura. Super talents but also super people who strive to make the world a better place. Angelina just appeared with RedOne at the 2022 FIFA Awards (Feb 2023), where they performed the song he wrote. I'm surprised that you're just hearing Amazing Grace with bagpipes...In Canada in some cities we have Highland Games in the summer where they have pipe band competitions.At the end of the games they have Mass bands...all the competitors play Amazing Grace together...nothing like the sound of more than 200 pipers and drums together...If you aren't moved by it...you can't be human.

You reacted like so many of us! My suggestion, before you move to her more recent, richer peformances, is to watch a few more from the young Amira. One of my earlier favourites is Ave Maria (Gomez), which she sang with the Nijmegen Mens' Choir in her home town in The Netherlands in December 2015. Do not look at this as being "religious". Yes I agree with that very much!! But Dimash has to stay in the Tenor registers because that is the best contrast to the Angelic and pure voice of Amira. I love her too so much she is so so so so sooooo good!!

Pipes playing "Amazing Grace" are used so much here in the US at funerals (especially for police and firefighters) that I think we are becoming dulled to their spectacular presence. At my funeral (many years hence!) I would choose instead "Cullen Bay"; that's got a lovely ring to it!
It's incredible to think that at this concert Amira was just 13 or so. In an interview she did late in 2016 she said singing made her feel like she was flying. Indeed!
She arrived at Holland's Got Talent in 2013 with a voice trained by watching UA-cam videos. She moved pretty quickly to getting a vocal coach, of course, and her voice and technique have improved. I'm not an opera fan, but Amira and Laura Bretan have won me over. I don't see how a voice can be more pure and perfect than Amira, and she's 13 in this performance. WOW! This is easily my favorite performance of this iconic song that has been performed 1000's of times. The song itself has such a meaningful history, since it was written by a former slave runner, who himself was instrumental in England abolishing slavery in 1806. So Amira joins Angelina and Laura as my favorite singers. If you haven't seen Laura Bretan's audition on AGT in 2016 at 13, it is one of the most mind blowing performances I have ever seen. I love these three beautiful and amazingly blessed young ladies too! I discovered them (thank God!) just before Covid made its "grand entrance"! Are you also familiar with Lucy Thomas who is from England? She also is a beautiful young lady with an extraordinarily gorgeous voice -- and a solid, down-to-earth, value-based character to match (just like Amira, Laura, and Angelina). She has the "Lucy Thomas Music" channel on UA-cam. She's done many solos (also beautiful duets with her also-talented younger sister Martha) of great classics. There are also incredibly beautiful songs from a musical called "Rosie" which she has co-written and is co-producing with playwright / songwriter Chris Broom. She will be starring in it sometime in 2024 at London's famous West End Theatre. Her videos range from age 9 or 10; she just recently turned 19.

And as you pointed out, the same can be said for Angelina, Amira, and Laura. Super talents but also super people who strive to make the world a better place. I can see Lucy become a SuperStar, as well as Angelina. Both are gorgeous and amazing talents. Angelina just appeared with RedOne at the 2022 FIFA Awards (Feb 2023), where they performed the song he wrote. Viewed by about 300M people worldwide, it gives her terrific exposure just before she graduates from HS and releases her new album (maybe late summer or early fall). Yes, Angelina was awesome in her FIFA performance. I didn’t personally care for the song itself, nor for RedOne hopping all over the stage. But the serene, powerful, beautiful way Angelina delivered it, like a regal goddess, was absolutely mesmerizing!

Amira is truly now a beautiful and talented young woman at a little over sixteen who always brings tears to my eyes when I watch her sing on UA-cam. In addition to her beauty and talent you can readily see that she is a truly lovely young person. In that regard recently, from her online web site, I sent a request to Amira to ask if she would come and perform in Sydney, Australia - the only part of the world she has never been to. To my amazement I received an immediate reply, clearly from her, saying that she would love to come if she is asked. I was totally amazed she would reply herself instead of letting it go through to her management. I can only wish this lovely young woman all the best in a long, happy and wonderful life.

I'm surprised that you're just hearing Amazing Grace with bagpipes...In Canada in some cities we have Highland Games in the summer where they have pipe band competitions.At the end of the games they have Mass bands...all the competitors play Amazing Grace together...nothing like the sound of more than 200 pipers and drums together...If you aren't moved by it...you can't be human.

You reacted like so many of us! My suggestion, before you move to her more recent, richer peformances, is to watch a few more from the young Amira. One of my earlier favourites is Ave Maria (Gomez), which she sang with the Nijmegen Mens' Choir in her home town in The Netherlands in December 2015. Do not look at this as being "religious".
