this song, like many in my youth, imprinted on me deeply. not only the beautiful harmony and melodies, both also the message... the yearning for pure love and peace. I still recall singing in in elementary school for the Christmas concerts. I had to hold back tears then, but I don't any more.
I agree about Puddles. It's a testament to how we all can instill LOVE into this world; each our own way.

Love the facial gestures you make Puddles, it adds so much in a way I can't quite explain. It's like you want to be able to speak and say something but can't so you communicate in the only way you can through song. Yet the mouthed words look like you are talking but you cannot really make out what you are saying by lip reading (seen on other videos too) adds a lot to this character. Cannot wait to see you in Columbus!

Not so for me. Was a big fan of Puddles for quite some time before he went on agt. But I agree with what you said. Most acts cannot afford the kind of exposure you get on that show.
As you said it exposed him to you and here you are.
The show is a publicity engine and provides entertainment. Everyone who gets on it is a 'winner' and many use it as a springboard. Actually winning is secondary.

Aunt Jan I know. I was joking. My Android screen is less than 6" and the wink emoji indicates that I'm not serious. Also, I've cuddled with Puddles. I'm 5'9" and easily 6' in heels. He's a good 1'+ taller and just bigger in general. He's very poised and gentle, not clumsy nor awkward at all. The clown's got swagger.
I know, I was joking, too. Puddles brings out the gremlin in me! "Case closed," is code for "joking," which my son and I use, ever since we were subjected to an intoxicated one-armed old lady who slammed her good fist down, yelling at us, "Case closed!"

Another fun addition to my Christmas music collection! I love how each of the P3 Backup Singers (and y'all thought PBS stood for Public Broadcasting Service. Bah-humbug!) has his own unique personality, regardless in which song they make their appearance. Coffee PBS, always on the left, really wants to enjoy his coffee. He likes performing and does a wonderful job, but the coffee really is his focus. PBS on the right jams a bit more and is a bit of trouble maker. Not much, I would say more mischievous than anything. Likes to have fun and gives Coffee PBS a hard time. Coffee PBS has to keep him in line. And the man in charge, the man in the middle, Puddles, well, he always does an A1 job, despite the shenanigans of his PBS. Any way, Merry Christmas everyone. I gave everyone cowbells and bags of sugar this year. Hope you like it.

I would like to add my voice to a small, but hopefully growing chorus of fans who are asking for music which will feature your voice most prominently in the mix of other sounds. It's frustrating for some of us to listen to songs that are produced in a way where your incomparable voice is "drowned" in a tsunami of sound. Over-production is often used to elicit an emotional response for singers whose voices can't accomplish that. Your voice is already a wall of sound which elicits the kind of emotional response that most other singers can only dream about.
I believe that your most unique gift is the unusual quality, power and drama of your voice. This is an area where you have little competition and where you are most outstanding. Please consider the implications of this idea in your future plans. Thanks for listening.
