XO, Ben
Dude! Your frameout engineering and execution skills are crazy good. I saw at least a dozen novel and great ideas in there. Wow.
I've watched a lot of van builds, and follow a lot of makers. I was (and still am) super excited when you announced a van build because your quality and attention to detail is second to none. I know you have a new family (congrats!) but keep doing the van stuff and giving us all the details cos a lot of us are really really invested!
I’ve watched many van builds and I always cringe when they just slap something together. This was a breath of fresh air. Thank you for this!
Outstanding high-quality craftsmanship!
Alwwys impressed with your attention to detail. You've clearly thought this through in great depth. Looking forward to the next van update! Thanks for sharing!
Crazy next level fabrication! Excellently over engineered to the max, top job as always, thanks for sharing :)
Havent seen one of your videos in ages forgot how much I enjoy watching you do your thing
I could watch that all day - Nice Work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bruh, that’s some amazing craftsmanship! Well thought out. Keep the van updates coming. Aloha🤙🏼
Absolutely loving watching this van build. Thank you so much for sharing. So much hard work, well done.🎉
Wow - such a ton of work to make one of these vans come to life. Thanks for the update.
Attention to detail is excellent!
You're brilliant! This was so satisfying to watch. I can't believe it's going to get better & better as it gets more Woby-fied!
Helps to have all the right equipment and tools !
Those threaded rivets are awesome! Way cleaner than most other van conversion I've seen.
Thanks 👍
Keen to see how you start using the skateboards in this interior. Awesome stuff
i dont rlly comment on much stuff but please keep posting van stuff, i love it
wow.. watched lot of van builds.. this one is actually very interesting and seems really well designed and executed
Finally van update
The music is 🔥🔥
That was sweet to watch. Thanks for sharing.
A perfectionist at work. 💪🏻
Absolute quality - can't argue with the craftsmanship - I would have made one slight change and that's run conduit through the van wall rather than have the cables under the floor because if you ever want/need to change them the whole floor has to come up, rather than pull a cable through the conduit, but hey, that's the nerd in me :-)
Son of a... now I want one. Thanks for the tons of work I'm gonna have to do in a few years haha. Way cool tho man!!!!!!!!!
Mind is literally blown. So many questions. If you ever have the capacity to make long form videos with more context, I WILL BINGE THAT 😂
Looks great. If you close off the celling, you could use those spaces for storage. I dig it. Great work. 🤙
first class work
Inspiring! Love your content!
Well planned and executed, very thorough. Digging this. (And I definitely don't expect it, given the geography... but it would be super cool if you and Seb at Ollari's could do some kind of collab, along these van builder lines.)
[cough] now about those handrails...
I have family who own a Coachmen Galleria, which is a Sprinter based RV and the build quality is sub par(like most commercially built RV's it's over priced and cheaply made to maximize corporate profits) when it comes to what you are doing with yours. I am willing to wait a while to see when and how you finally finish this van.
Ben, what Rivnut adapter did you use? The link provided brings us to a standard rivet gun attachment. I’m still using the manual rivnut tool and would love an automatic one.
Good work 👍
Having any squeaks without using glue or a barrier between wood and metal?
Did you compare road noise from the beginning to now? Also a decibel meter test would have been cool.
Interested to see how long the now unprotected holes you drilled will last before rusting out. Is that something you planned or did not consider?
should be fine, if it rusts, it rusts. nothing last forever G.
Keep the van shit coming
This looks very clean. Question about the floor wiring. What was your reasoning to put the wires under the floor than the sides of the van? And, are those for the alternator charging? Thank you for your window install video btw, I'm probably going to be getting the same ones and similar layout.
Truly top notch building. How well did the foam work for sound deading as well as insulation. I'm working on an RV and I definitely need the advice
Would you be able to tell me how the rails were used In your build? And what did you use with them. Thank you
Are you not worried about condensation on the bare metal parts?
Is there a reason you prefer to rip with your bandsaw instead of your table saw?
not one skateboard was used but if anything create a surfboard out of skateboards and put it on the roof like an old vw unless you were planning on solar panels
Just curious, is it not necessary to put some sort of moisture barrier between the floor and the wood framing attached to the floor?
Can you share the links and use case for the metal channel track that you attached on the side walls?
Just perfect … me likey
Do you build for individual customer
What does that reflective blue stuff do? Oh I think you wrote the book on cool. :)
sound dampening
Please include a link to the rolls of insulation foil you used.
amazon sound deadening mat
Link to the metal grommet/threaded insert things you used in the beggining?
it's on the description as "rivet drill attachment"
@@WobyDesign sorry I didn't catch that man thank you so much for responding!
Window frames would have been I believe better in your normal medium.. but very nice work .
You know this was not what I expected. Slow down some of this so we can see what you are doing. Some explanation would have been nice. I kept looking for more of your van videos but if they are all going to be like this I will be skipping them. You have left too many questions unanswered. Just my three cents.
I need more than 3 cents to pay my bills so don’t expect me to explain how I did it.
This is me unsubscribing@@WobyDesign
Overdone. Just like it and stick it. 😂
