They only question was which would remain the strongest. I have to say, I did not expect Netflix to survive through it all. Losing so many crucial IPs and endorsing controversial products...they still pulled through.
Right at the beginning of the streaming wars, I called it and said that the war was already won - by Netflix - that was before Disney+ even launched. My opinion hasn't changed. Netflix had such a HUGE headstart that they were always going to be ahead of the field. The only way that Disney itself is going to return to profitability is to squash D+ and go back to licencing their content to Netflix etc

Agree. AppleTv and peacock are services I've never used and never will. They have 1 show every few years I'm slightly interested in but not enough to pay for a single show or movie. Hopefully the bundle is a totally separate option from standard Netflix. I don't want to pirate netflix like I do HBO, paramount, etc.. because I like their Korean, Japanese, and foreign content. I pay for it so they keep investing in it.

Comcast gives Disney for free to its customers already, so it's going to be this back door bundle set up for everyone to slide in, just like how Amazon now has it where you can do MAX and Crunchyroll and others in their Prime bundle set up. So now we are seeing basically new types of cable come alive, and in the end, I see one place to basically get everyone that you want to get. In the end, it's a mega-money pitt as it's always been, and no one makes a profit in the end.

I might go for that, if a fairly priced tier didn't have ads. I absolutely refuse to watch ads, and pay at the same though. I've got a 5Tb hard drive, and an insane amount of physical media. I know how to sail the seas, and can watch any of my old favorite shows and movies. I WILL pay for convenience though, or a decent product if anything new and good comes out, but I won't ever watch ads. Those days are gone, sorry, but it's not ever happening again.

Major part is sports. Comcast is very close to getting the third NBA media rights package, basically taking them from TNT. Plus they have Sunday night football. Apple has Friday night baseball and MLS and adding more and Netflix is getting into more live programming. Disney has nothing in the sports side of things.

Major part is sports. Comcast is very close to getting the third NBA media rights package, basically taking them from TNT. Plus they have Sunday night football. Apple has Friday night baseball and MLS and adding more and Netflix is getting into more live programming. Disney has nothing in the sports side of things.
