This driver does a fantastic job!!! With little money and lots of improvisation he supports his family, by delivering goods with a truck over 70 years old!!! I have worked in African countries as a mechanic for around 8 years…. I have always had VERY high regards for the truckdrivers I have met there….. Bless you all for fighting the trouble, enduring the hardship and facing the danger… Working so hard and risking so much…. simply to provide a modest income for your family!!! I have seen it, (Madagascar, Lybia, Nigeria, Mauretania….) I have worked with you!!! You are AMAZING!!!!!!
I am always amazed by the clever modifications made to old trucks. I bestow unbounded admiration on the trucker/mechanic/engineer featured in this video.
This truck started life as a CMP, Canadian Military Pattern. Half a million of these were built in Canada during WW2 and provided to the allies with either Chevrolet or Ford badges.
Saludos.
Correct Pattern family of vehicles built in Canadian factories of Chevrolet divisions of General Motors and Ford Motor Co, on a British design Went on to see action in the Korean War. In Australian service, they were nicknamed the "Chev Blitz" or "Ford Blitz" They went on to see service with many Rural fire services right up till the 1980's
In Australia we have a tv show called Outback Truckers where the drivers are always having Drama's and Complaining while having nice Rig's. This young Man is Happy to drive an Old truck and do a good job for his customers.
We have « outback truckers » on French TV, but your truckers are still rough guys in comparison of US truckers, who can not survive more than 6 hours away from a Taco bells or Mac Donald’s.
What a uniquely practical creation! The truck feels like a bigger, beefier version of the Mercedes Unimog 🔥 Full props to the driver for his ingenuity with all those fabulous mods 👌🏼
Excelente documental!
It's a bit more well made than most I saw pictures of on those countries. Adding a different steering, changing the break implant, adding stronger leaf springs and a better engine... The guy is quite practical, especially his worry about break temperature, which in a country like his the summers wouldn't help. Also a fellow guy who work on vehicles on mud! Stay strong ahaha
Beeb fortunate to drive an original truck in the UK, we replaced the motor with a 4cylinder Ford tractor diesel added a hydraulic pump and used it as a grain cart, from field to farm back in the 1960s, crash gearbox needed some skill .😮😊
Firstly, it may not be a Ford, but a Chevrolet. secondly, most likely from a model - 30 or 60, and thirdly - it's homemade and they're riveting them there. just one pattern at a time. these homemade products were legalized not so long ago, but they do not have a name. They just called them ghosts. the chassis used, if I remember correctly, is from Toyota trucks.

Ford Motorsport had a liq brake cooling system on WRC car a few years ago. It was a sealed system with a pump, intercooler and modified brake calipers to allow the coolant to flow through them. Good for tarmac rallying, as the speed created airflow to cool the brakes. But it was too heavy so they removed it
This is extraordinary stuff. I've only watched the part where he explains some of the upgrades to the vehicle, and I just had to stop and add this to my favorites. Wow.

Even in deadliest situations, this driver still smiles 😊 LEGEND ❤
"hehe i'm in danger"
“There is no Deity worthy of worship in truth except Allah, the Exalted (لا معبود حق إلا الله)”
living legend at least
He smiles because this was one of the easiest routes he'd ever have to drive.

This truck started life as a CMP, Canadian Military Pattern. Half a million of these were built in Canada during WW2 and provided to the allies with either Chevrolet or Ford badges.
We had these CMP s of all classes going past our house, all day long in 1941,
from 2 Canadian army camps situated each end of our village in Surrey.
This guy has turned it into a Zongthimblorger X
Saludos.

Dicing with Death. These documentaries used to be on Amazon Prime, but are no longer available. I'd love to be able to see them again.

A modern 6 or 8 wheeler would not last one trip on this road this man has built a special truck just for that job well done him
Wouldn't a 8 wheeler have more traction & stability?

Looks like a former WW-II army Chevorlet or Ford "Blitz" I give credit to his mechanical acumen.
Canadian Military Pattern (CMP), built in Canada during WW2 under different brands and provided to all the allies. Half a million were made.
@@CaptHollister Many of them ended up with local farmers when the war ended, were a common sight around Australia.
@@dieseldavetrains8988 Many were shipped in kit form to Australia where they were reassembled.
@@CaptHollister Maybe under the "Lend Lease" agreement? There are a few clubs in Australia with ex WW-II truck and jeep collections.

Caminhão bom, trabalhadores guerreiros!
The cab itself seems to have been taken off a WW2 Canadian-made Ford F15 CMP truck. Its face is easily recognizable...

A mad genius is what he is
"I try to laugh even when I'm angry". What a great lesson
reminds me of riding for hours on a horribly rutted logging road in a 40's dodge power wagon to get to a lake in quebec. i should have had a helmet.
God help this man to perform his honorable work.
One in a million true hero
The real BEAST MASTER👍👍👍

Este hombre es una inspiración para todos
An amazing..and possibly a lil insane individual 😁
Log trucks in Canada have done this for years using water
They do it in Ireland and Poland too, but use old engine oil to stop rusting the brake drums. Lol.

Truck is the beast
Enfim ele e um engenheiro domestico!
The cab is from a " Canadian Military Pattern truck " used in WW2 my dad actually had one in Norway in the 1990`s
he shall admit. he is smoking something other than tobacco when there is no camera :) cool guy.
On the muddy road
Mr Cossom:I have no problems with muddy roads
*proceeds to skid on mud*
Which country is this, the leader is not responsible for the infrastructure
I have seen these trucks in Calcutta by the name of FARGO. But 4 wheel drive is a novelty for me.
Fargo is an alternative name that was used on some Dodge products in the distant past.
Needs a locker on that front diff.
O mi God 😰😰😰. Mi friend. 😌😌😌😌. Very good video.
