Josie, as I’m starting to watch today’s Vlog and just before you commented you did not have your fake tan I was actually remarking to myself how beautiful you look . You have a natural glow and that blouse and the jewellery that you are wearing highlight your natural features ! Less is more ! You may want to apply that principle before you start spraying other things gold. It’ll take away from the beautiful lines that are currently in the wardrobe room , I.e. wardrobe may then look too gaudy. When you got a bit emotional, it reminded me of a scene from the movie, “Sex in the City” , when the character Carrie Bradshaw saw the beautiful wardrobe room that her fiancé had designed for her, as it was also her dream. I’m very happy for you as you have earned it!

You look lovely and a nice glow to your cheeks. Once again my dear you are beautiful with and without the tan. You have good skin care regiment.

Keep lavender sachets in your wardrobe sections! Lavender oil around the windows in the wardrobe & bathroom. Spiders don't like lavender oil! &/OR Peppermint oil on its own has been shown to keep wasps and bees at bay, or you can use a combination of clove, geranium, and lemongrass essential oils as a natural pest control method. It will also make your wardrobe/Shoes/clothes SMELL Amazing!! When I was deployed in the middle east, I would also use dryer sheets tucked into the corners of my tent to keep the spiders & mice out!😉 (The mice attracted not only the ferrel cats, but snakes! YUK!!!) I can't wait to see it finished with all of your clothing!! YAY! I am SO Very Happy for you!!🥰

Your light is lovely but i wondered could you swag it over farther from your banister rail or have the electrician move it - i feel like it is too close to the side of the rail. i feel like it would look better centered over the stairs and it would be safer especially when you start a family - i can just picture little hands reaching over to grab it and an accident happening

I think it's purposely placed exactly above the staircase that goes round, you can see it briefly when she just starts talking about the light.

I love it but I cant stand for things to be off center. 😂. OCD here. Just a little thank goodness or I'd drive everyone crazy. It is beautiful though and it's where they want it. My closest is sooo OCD. I cant stand it if a piece of clothing isn't in the right place or the hanger its turned at all. I could go on but there isn't enough time. You can imagine. 😊💜💜

Josie, I'm so proud of Charley! ❤️
His comment, "It's not OCD because OCD is a serious illness" was insightful and absolutely true, Social media influencers should follow his lead and be more mindful about using mental illness diagnoses as adjectives to describe their idiosyncrasies and behavior. I hear OCD tossed about on UA-cam so much that it's become almost a somewhat desired behavior to have. Vloggers proudly state, "I'm so OCD about organizing or cleaning".
OCD is not cute, fun, and most certainly NOT an adjective. KUDOS to you, Charley!👏

Ok Charlies wardrobe... As a costumer who has LITERALLY had to lay out plans for over 3 THOUSAND costumes and individual pieces .I’d sit down and decide, what bits do I use the most. And put them closest to the door. Dressing gown, slippers, etc. Then after that, I’d organize them by the way he puts them on. What does he build his outfits on? Does he build them around a tie, or cuff links, does he pull a shirt and go around that? I tend to organize from skin out. So. He comes in from the bath/shower grabs his under bits and socks, next is shirt and trousers, Then, ties and braces, cuff links, Jacket hat and shoes on the way out the door along with fragrance . Shoes are kind of an animal. When I’m working with a client to help the organize their wardrobe it’s one of the FIRST things that I have heart to heart about . How many of these are you wearing, which ones make you happy to just look at, We all have them and there is nothing wrong with that. Shoes you use the most need to be easily grabbed. Then break down which shoes are used less often and put them behind the ones you use all the time. Break them down by types. Put sneakers all together, Dress shoes all together, then break those down by style and color. I also have book that has physical hard copy photos ( instamax photos work GREAT ) of all the shoes the shop( costumes) has . I organize the pictures by time period and style. In day to day life I have clients break them down by type of shoe and then by style. Some go as far as to then break them down by color. Thats totally up to you. The book helps you know what you have been using what you haven’t been using and helps you to rotate things out . You can also have a log of repairs, if the heel broke, when they were last water proofed etc. I think having that level of organizational data in front of him will help yourself and Charlie be less anxious about it.

@Tamera England. No problem. It’s one of the random things I learned while doing theater and film stuff. Every once in a blue moon I miss it.. but then I remember actors.. and directors... and I don’t miss it . I can put my moody teens in their rooms. I can’t do that with an actress and her “ motivation”

There is an app here in the us called Stylebook, that can catalogue the wardrobe in a very similar way that you described! I do not think there is a way to catalogue repairs, but there as a feature that lets you keep track of what you have worn when. Also fellow former costumer for a university, I wholeheartedly enjoyed every bit of this advice, @Kori Emerson! It may be a process to get there but so worth the end result!

Hi Josie. Here's a suggestion for your room with the gorgeous paneling. Move your chairs out from the wall slightly. Having a sofa and chairs that are placed about 6 -8 inches from the wall gives the illusion of space and makes the room feel even larger. It is also cozy feeling.

I'm so excited for both your dressing rooms , and the fact your home is so big with lots of different projects, there are updates for different areas you could never get bored. There is the garden as well which I love ❤️, we don't have a garden but the boarders around our flat block were not tended so Lisa worked her magic during lockdown and transformed them all and brought a lawn mower and the area is rather beautiful. Everyone that passes always complements her hard work . Nothing on your scale but makes us happy.

I also would suggest you spray paper with peppermint oil and use it to stuff your shoes before storing (also keeps the shape of the shoes for out of season storage). Love the new hallway light! Much more suited to your home than the modern one you had before. It's gorgeous.
And I think we all appreciate your efforts to give us daily blogs so whatever you do, we will watch!
I would also be interested to see which hair tool you end up using as I am considering the Dyson airwrap.
And I also cannot be productive with my hair down!

That drawing room is literally a dream, the fire and panelling 😪 that angle of you standing at the door pointing the camera to the fire is the first time I’ve (personally) seen just how grand it is! I think you should go extra traditional in that room, really try and furnish it to how it truly would have been

The carpenters did a beautiful job on those dressing rooms; the drawers were wonderfully made with dovetailed joints.

Love the wardrobes and would love to have a storage system like that myself! Just a quick note - OCD is a diagnosed mental health condition that can be absolutely debilitating and even lead to self-harm or suicide. Therefore, OCD charities suggest we don't use the words "little bit OCD" because we don't say "I'm a little bit depression" or "I'm little bit Alzheimer's", especially if you haven't been diagnosed. This is because the obsession on symmetry/orderliness in OCD is very different from just enjoying things being neat and tidy - lack of symmetry or order can cause people with OCD to have panic attacks or it can be as a compulsion to help handle intense anxiety, fear of death etc. Just like washing hands a lot doesn't mean someone has OCD - doing it compulsively to stave off intense anxiety does. Therefore for people with OCD, focus is often on STOPPING that compulsion because it can hamper their recovery. If someone simply likes order and symmetry but it's not a compulsion/really anxiety inducing and doesn't have a negative effect on their life/impair on their quality of life, then it is completely harmless. Because of this, it's really important not to use "I'm a little bit OCD" if don't have OCD, even though within the diagnosis symptoms vary on a spectrum. But we're not all on a spectrum of OCD - we all have habits that can be compulsions on a spectrum of severity for someone with OCD. It is a very misunderstood condition (many people with OCD don't give a hoot about symmetry or tidiness!) and unfortunately using language like that can spread inaccurate stereotypes of the condition. Again, I don't diagnose myself with Alzheimer's if I forget something. It might be that Charlie has a diagnosis, in which case that's absolutely fine, but just wanted to give a bit of friendly feedback in case other people do it too. My husband does it all the time and as a psych grad/someone in the process of hopefully soon getting medication and a diagnosis it drives me mad 😂😂

I absolutely love your vlogs💖For keeping spiders away try cedar wood blocks(sand them every once and a while to keep the scent strong) , that works for me. Also try lavender and/or mint oil in the corners and around the windows

LOVE! the wardrobes!!! There are all sorts of methods for keeping spiders away - Amazon has a spray, in addition to companies that may be nearer your leaning, like EarthKind; always cedar - which yes makes it smell like a gerbil cage but that's far better than mothballs!; natural things like tobacco leaves, horse chestnuts, Turmeric, even baking soda, plus peppermint oil, lavender, & citrus, are supposed to be a good remedy, also.
