I am a three time 'sailor' on HA, I've done the Alaska cruise with them and it was great, however, you missed a big part of what they offer. To really see Alaska you need go inland, to Fairbanks and tour that city and the interesting activities around, the board the train, the cars are in HA colors, as is the cooks on the dining level. They replaced the conductor with the bartender/tour guide as you roll through rural and wild Alaska, stop at Denali staying at a HA hotel, if you can schedule a few extra nights here it is worthwhile as you might have some days of bad weather, then continue on to Anchorage, a real city where regular folks live and work, but a beautiful one at that. By the way, we'll be on our fourth HA cruise, this on in the Med later this spring.

This by far is the best Alaska video I have ever seen. No one else has done videos like this. Most focus on the ship or the glaciers etc…not the people who you would rarely see or get to know who make the trip so great. Never thought Alaska could be that fun. I’ve made the trip from south Florida to either Seattle or Vancouver 8 times to go on Alaskan cruises (starting in the 1990’s) - once on HAL Westerdam (most of the other cruises were with Princess). I never tire seeing the majesty that is Alaska- the scenery is incredible whether I’m cruising in May or September!! I love Glacier Bay day - have seen the glaciers calving (and heard them calving) - and I’ve loved the lumberjack show in Ketchikan! Love your video - perfect tour of the most amazing state!!
I watched many bad travel videos to Alaska. This one stands out mostly for interesting interaction with crew members and locals, and good narration. It refreshed my memories of 15 unforgettable vacations to SE Alaska.
A very well done video. I have cruised Holland America quite a few times and it is one of my favorite cruise lines. I have also cruised Alaska many times and do keep returning. You mention in your video of people keeping in touch with the crew and I do keep in touch with the many of the crew I have met over the years.
Your video makes me happy to see people cruising again and Alaska looks absolutely beautiful and I would love to go on a cruise up there one day to see all the beautiful views, places and especially the crew on board the ships again. I haven’t been overseas from Australia yet before
I will be on the Eurodam first week of May. Taking my 70 year old grandma. It is her dream trip to see Alaska! Can you recommend an excursion that would be good for an older person? Great video! You should have WAY more subscribers!
We sailed have cruised with Holland America on the Inside Passage and overland in the Yukon and Alaska and the trip was spectacular. Several of our party had dietary needs, and after a brief discussion with the kitchen staff, there was always fantastic options for everyone in the party. We will be cruising with Holland America again! Nice presentation.

My wife and I are celebrating our 30 year anniversary by going to Alaska this June on HA. I've been on Royal Caribbean before, we were thinking about going on Norwegian, but decided for HA. Mask mandates? Good grief. No thanks.
The comical thing is seeing people wearing masks. Why bother wearing something that doesn't work?
It works against pollen for allergies. If the correct kind of filtered mask it works against viruses. It’s a choice. I accept it, why can’t you?
