This house is a work of art, and the workmanship is phenomenal. I would find living in it a bit jarring with the non-straight lines, but I do appreciate the beauty in it!
Duke Ellington didn't worry about keeping jazz "pure." He said, " If it sounds good, it is good." This house tosses so many rules away. But it would be thrilling to live in it. Still, the ultimate, for me, would be to own this, plus a well-done period house, for variety. To me, "modern" government buildings rarely come off. The Marin County building, by Wright, is a glorious exception, although getting from the parking lot to your interior destination seems rather daunting, usually a poorly addressed issue with large buildings.
Yes and with respect to Eichler homes they were made for middle class America and considered affordable housing. A new Eichler in 1960 would be about $250,000 in todays money. Yet they sell for millions today. It’s sad that no one makes interesting homes at an affordable price anymore.

"Not ruining it with paint" YES!
Agreed!! Thanks.
Wish there were more architects designing like this today. So bored and unimpressed with most current home construction.

LOL, i hear it makes a great drinking game. Seriously I'm working on it. Can't help the excitement.
I hear it more and more. It makes one's presenation sound weak, as if the speaker needs the audience's validation.
Not gonna lie, this house is insanely ugly.
