  • Join us for an exclusive look at the new SRBS suppressors from B&T! In this video, ‪@JamesReeves‬ sits down with Chris Mudgett, Vice President of Marketing for B&T USA, to discuss the exciting features of the SRBS 556, SRBS 762, and SRBS 762 Ti suppressors.
    We take these innovative suppressors to Thunder Ranch, where James and ‪@Hoplopfheil‬ put them to the test against the Dead Air Sierra 5 on a 16" AR-15.
    Find out how these high-flow suppressors, constructed from 718 Inconel and 100% Titanium, perform in real-world conditions. With exclusive features like the Direct Mount HUB assembly, high-temp matte black Cerakote, and the 3D printed Star baffle system, these suppressors are designed for superior performance and minimal backpressure.
    Don't miss out on this in-depth review and comparison!

      CAT ODB - same price, better performance.

    • @JohnZ556
      @JohnZ556 5 днів тому +4

      @@joemiller410 As far as I know, B&T will repair or replace the can should you have any issues. They might even give you 200 bucks as a tax stamp refund if they have to print a new one for you.
      I think the biggest difference between the two would be sparking. SRBS Inconel appears to have excellent flash mitigation. Ventum with that Ti core is terrible on SBR, high pressure rounds, or under high volume fire. SRBS will have a bit more gas, but there shouldn't be too much backpressure as it is optimized for AR and AK SBRs, and it is also quite good on 308 gas gun.

    • @JohnZ556
      @JohnZ556 5 днів тому

      @@CByers-lh3zq SRBS right now is 950 with a free tax stamp and *in stock*. ODB is 1290 and nowhere to be found. We are talking ~1000 vs almost 1600 when you get it...and good luck finding an ODB.
      Sure, ODB will likely be a bit quieter and maybe less gas, but it is also quite a bit heavier at 16.3oz w/o any mount for the HUB. SRBS 762 Inconel is 13.4oz with a direct mount, according to B&T.
      So, not only is it unfair to say they're the same price, but people will also have to balance a few factors to see what's more important to them.
      For me though, I would take the bargain and availability on SBRS right now, knowing I have one of the world's biggest suppressor companies to stand behind their product. Since this isn't a hunting can, a few dB wouldn't be noticeable, and normal supersonic rifle rounds aren't hearing-safe anyway.
      For the price less than Huxwrx, you get 718 Inconel instead of 17-4 SS(Inconel handles heat erosion way better than SS), way more muzzle device options, and prob better muzzle suppression(important if you're not on the open field).

  • @WalterRitchey
    @WalterRitchey 6 днів тому +9

    I know it's a stupid thing to complain about, but B&T's naming and the sheer quantity of models they have gets really confusing. I get mixed up with which are A2 QD, Surefire QD, or Direct thread and how or if you can interchange the same can between those different mounting types. I guess you would call it "clutter" in the line-up? I get that they're trying to cater to many types of shooters with lots of options, but personally I think I'm still going to pick up a couple Huxwrx Flow suppressors, just because of how straight forward everything is. I love seeing the industry innovation and the B&T reps seem to have a great relationship with James - I always enjoy seeing the shot show and new release videos with you guys.

    I've been wanting a 5.56 can for some time now but just can't justify the cost Even before the $200 tax stamp... Years ago I bought a YHM 22LR can for only $250 so I don't know why the higher caliber cans need to cost that much more. Basically the same technology with stronger material which can't be that much more expensive to produce

    • @GriffXJ
      @GriffXJ 6 днів тому +5

      You can get some really good 5.56 cans for less than these SRBS cans. I purchased a B&T Rotex X-SF a few months back for $600 (before sales tax and NFA tax), you can get an OCL Polonium for around the mid-$500 range, and...honestly, when you factor in that SilencerShop is paying for your NFA tax, these SRBS cans aren't that much more expensive than the other options I just mentioned.
      The YHM can you mentioned is probably aluminum. 718 Inconel and Titanium are NOT cheap metals to begin with. Machining 718 Inconel is also very difficult and expensive. B&T was able to bring the price down on those by 3D printing, and not needing nearly as much, or any, expensive machining.
