amazing idea, but i think that could go kinda south. The creativity in each and every enclosure is amazing! Luke's as his was such an awesome pop of color -- Green, Blue, Orange, Yellow and Red (Color of one plant) is just so bright and eye-catching. I want to give a special mention to Morgan though. I'm from Ontario too, was born around 4ish hours from Bancroft and moved to Haliburton, which I'm pretty sure it's an hour or so away. I even once went rock hunting with my family back when I was a kid, in Bancroft. I'll never forget it because I found a small gem quality garnet just sitting on the ground! They're known for sodalite so it was a decently rare find even so close to the mine. On top of all of this, my geologist mother-in-law used to go all the time as part of the Gem and minerals society. At least I think that was what she called it. We last talked about it before I had some pretty traumatic brain damage and although I remained function, my memory has never been the same. 😅 Anyway, as someone who once spent an upwards of hours in a small section of Haliburton forest just to have some me time, I can tell you that Morgan absolutely *NAILED* it! Because my favorite place to sit was a massive rock beside a little stream that ran through the forest across the street to the lake that was at the time a part of my front yard, had Morgan been able to get the water feature running, it would have been so perfect to me personally. That said, it can always be worked on until it does work, by whomever ends up with it. So I'd like to offer a special dose of *GOOD LUCK* to Morgan, and thank her and the ORR for thinking so much about and helping our little Canadian reptile buddies!
Loved dav's (*cough*your *cough* enclosure!) 😁 obviously put time and love into the project and loved the hide! Really hope dav wins this time. Good luck guys x

All the contestants did so great!! This was so fun to watch :) I like Luke and Dan the most, I wish I could've picked my top three instead of only one person, but this was awesome!!
I agree, I wanted to vote for three. It would definitely change the way it's panning out so far. People aren't voting on the enclosures looks and practicality
Love the creativity you can have with designing tanks, always makes me want to have a go! My favourites are the gargoyle gecko and indiana jones themed ones, I love how they include the animal inhabitant in the story.
It was SO HARD to vote this year because they all were so awesome. But in the end I had to vote for Morgan. Her handmade background was SO GOOD! And the way she transformed the materials she was given to make her enclosure a scene. Maybe it's because I'm an art teacher but I just though her enclosure was outstanding! Also I loved the natural water reservoir.
I´m so glad you guys keep doing this each year. And that you bring regulars as new people. As for Clint, even if he wasn´t going to be a plus 1, it is always amazing for him to see him there. Even if he just wants to hang out with you guys.
There´s also the fact that, while we see them all together like these, they do hang out in reptiles expos and I´m sure by themselves whenever they can.
#1. Dave. Great story and impeccable execution. You can absolutely tell all the thought and planning that went into it. The details were stunning. #2. Pangea. Best desert enclosure by far. #3. Bob. I loved Bob's item but I wish the item would have had a broken wall to use as a hide. Luke's was impressive and he is obviously talented and passionate. and his enclosure would probably be something that would sell for more $ than the others in a retail setting. However, I kind of feel like his one special item was really SEVERAL special items and was literally nearly the entire enclosure. So, I thought that wasn't exactly in keeping with the competition. My only critique of his build was that a lot of the moss actually hid the shire and made the enclosure pretty busy. As for everyone else, they all tied for 4th. There wasn't one enclosure I didn't like. I'm jealous of all the creativity displayed and how individual every enclosure was. And, Dan, that enclosure was fantastic. No one would have known it was your first vivarium if you hadn't said anything. The sea monkeys will be VERY happy with their accommodations. 😂
For any of those sponsors here, I’m about to build my first 4x2 and I plan to definitely use your companies first. Supporting great channels like this is appreciated.
Luke's shire build is so adorable! I love it so much. I also really like the Indiana Jones build. But I think my favorite and the one I'll be voting for this year is Dan's seamonkey one!
🎉 *Congrats, Dav (and Clint)!* You definitely deserve to come back for the “Championship round”! (He should’ve won with the “Dav and Silent Emily” backdrop, tbh) And great job, Luke for coming in 2nd! Ive always enjoyed Daves nerd-ness. This time he knicked it oht of the park. That indiana jones enclosure really hits home for me. I would do a great many things to own that one. My girlfriend passed earlier this year. Our very first date was entirely indiana jones themed.
I had been waiting for the pt 2 of this build off and I’m watching it with a big smile on my face. -Ed and Emily, you guys have built an incredible platform through all the ways you support the reptile community. I really love Morgan's enclosure! I live in a place with a very different climate and geology, and yet her enclosure felt like the woods I grew up in, too. So homey!
Thank you! Your comment makes me smile! Reptiles see many more colors than the human eye, and at night, some geckos see color in UV ! So I wanted to include many enrichment opportunities for the reptile who will live here.

I incorporated stones in the lower level home for reptiles to help with shedding. And enrichment - I hope the reptile living here is enriched and very loved! @@rawrimreptar08
Anyway, as someone who once spent an upwards of hours in a small section of Haliburton forest just to have some me time, I can tell you that Morgan absolutely *NAILED* it!
Thank you so much for the kind words 💚💚
May i just say that an Enclosure Build-off without Dāv Kaufman is hardly an Enclosure Build-off?
Might I add that no good get together anywhere, at all, is complete without Clint?!
Loved dav's (*cough*your *cough* enclosure!) 😁 obviously put time and love into the project and loved the hide! Really hope dav wins this time. Good luck guys x
Dav has worked so hard all these years to educate and entertain us, as you have. We couldn't do without you both.
that is true
that's why I voted for it and it was the best won
No one deserves success as much as you guys ♡ you're wonderful
Thats a very *BOLD* statement
@susanissajoke I don’t think it is
@@notjustanotherharlow4776 really? You dont think there us any other genuine person out there?
@@susanissajokeI'm sure there are plenty of other people who deserve success more they were just showing their gratitude towards the people you don't need to be a buzzkill
@Hadesbaby69 yeah, apparently no one has heard of hyperbole. Lol. Thank you for recognizing that
All the contestants did so great!! This was so fun to watch :) I like Luke and Dan the most, I wish I could've picked my top three instead of only one person, but this was awesome!!
Thank you!
So excited for this video
For any of those sponsors here, I’m about to build my first 4x2 and I plan to definitely use your companies first. Supporting great channels like this is appreciated.
Such beautiful tanks this year! 😍
I can't wait to see who wins, and I'm even more excited to see all the winners return next year 😁👏🏽
So sad you couldn't be there! Hope things are getting better!!
Luke's shire build is so adorable! I love it so much. I also really like the Indiana Jones build. But I think my favorite and the one I'll be voting for this year is Dan's seamonkey one!
I love u
I personally loved the Shire build but my two kids loved Dan the Turtle Guy’s build the best.
I'm happy you liked the Shire. Dan is a hilarious awesome person and his build is beautiful!
the blue paint makes it so bright and beautiful!
🎉 *Congrats, Dav (and Clint)!* You definitely deserve to come back for the “Championship round”! (He should’ve won with the “Dav and Silent Emily” backdrop, tbh) And great job, Luke for coming in 2nd! Your enclosure was _amazing!_ I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who had a difficult time choosing between you guys.
Hi they all look awesome I can't choose, Ed and Emily you guys are amazing the work you put into everything you do you guys should win love you guys xxxxxxx
Ive always enjoyed Daves nerd-ness. This time he knicked it oht of the park. That indiana jones enclosure really hits home for me. I would do a great many things to own that one. My girlfriend passed earlier this year. Our very first date was entirely indiana jones themed.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Tyler & Maddie's enclosure was absolutely my favorite!!!
One of the best ❤
The progression of ability each year with these enclosures is amazing!
I do think the Utah one pops!! As you panned by as you were talking at the end it definitely catches your eye!
I love Dan‘s humour so much 😂😂😂
my life is a nightmare
I had been waiting for the pt 2 of this build off and I’m watching it with a big smile on my face. -Ed and Emily, you guys have built an incredible platform through all the ways you support the reptile community.
I wonder just how much coffee, Emily had to power through all of this! Then I see it clearly as the beautiful sky, Mariah painted. You guys have such love, respect, and passion for reptiles it’s hard to miss it.
I just wanna say that I am so grateful for having people like you that inspire and encourage us to care for all living creatures.
My kids have learned so much from your videos from facts about reptiles, to random Pokémon stuff lol I mean you guys are an incredible couple.
I hope in future ones we can vote top 3 instead of just top pick. I had such a hard time between Dav, Luke, and Bob 😁
I just love how the Build-off shows every year how wholesome and kind the reptile community is. That's the general vibe that I get from Snake Discovery and why I'm still here, Ed and Emily are just passionate and lovely people. I wish everyone (including all participants and whoever reads this comment) a wonderful day and some sunshine ^-^
Thank you so much! Yes, it's a competition but also definitely a fellowship of reptile keepers who love to teach, learn, support each other, and help each other during competition and after. We are all a community of reptile keepers and I'm very luck to be part of a group with so much heart!
Thanks to Dan for raising awareness about the desperate need for bigger and better Sea Monkey enclosures 🌊🐒
Holy cricket, this is a hard one 😮 they all did amazing!
That was amazing! You're right when you say that everyone upped their game, especially when it comes to what they brought from home! I love the themes that came out too, like Indiana Jones and Pokémon. So much fun every year!
Oh my god all of these enclosures are amazing! Dav has my vote but Bob, Tyler and Maddie, Dan, and Luke are all very close!
I was half expecting Dav to say Clint was his personal item from home- 😅😂
My dad lives in southern Utah(st George) I was out there on July 8th and it was beautiful. I'm originally from Indiana still live here but lived in northern Utah for a little while. Never went south but fell even more in love with Utah once I seen like Washington and st George.
Thanks again for the opportunity! 💚
The enclosures just keep getting better. ❤ Thank you for doing this awesome fundraiser, Ed and Emily! I can't wait to make a donation and buy some raffle tickets next weekend.
So proud of Luke
You did amazing
Thank you very much! I"m inspired because it's fundraising for USARK and I absolutely LOVE The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books and movies - I hope I did The Shire justice! Most importantly, I wanted to work hard on my build because Emily and Ed invited a kid to competition - they think I can compete!
Luke’s is amazing! When I saw it finished I was literally like wow! So gorgeous! Daves is also wonderful!
I really love Morgan's enclosure! I live in a place with a very different climate and geology, and yet her enclosure felt like the woods I grew up in, too. So homey!
Thank you 💚
Wow, I love all these guys. Dav, Bob, and Dan especially have such great personalities for entertainment.
I wish everyone could be a winner.
These are so well planned and fun I wish I could go on holiday to America to see you guys in person your all so fun and lovely people !!
Oh gosh, every enclosures are so so so beautiful✨🌿And Dav(and Clint!), you nailed it! Also Dan!! What a great enclosure you made😃 That’s incredible!
Canadian Snake Discovery Fans unite for Ontario Reptile Rescue!!!!
🥰
Love Luke's build. Good theme, and so many colors. Just looks so fun, it makes me smile.
Thank you! Your comment makes me smile! Reptiles see many more colors than the human eye, and at night, some geckos see color in UV ! So I wanted to include many enrichment opportunities for the reptile who will live here.
Having a hard time picking between Luke and Dāv's builds, both are fantastic (and everyone else did a great job!)
Me too! I love all of them tbh
U mean Clint's build😂
He and Dav were such a good team! Both equally talented and putting things together. @@runa8354
Thank you for liking mine! It's all awesome because all the proceeds go to USARK! @@rai1879
Luke got this. Everyone needs to bow down to the king of the build.
Wow! thank you very very much! I feel very happy and honored!
Yay Morgan! Way to represent for Bancroft!! You did a great job ❤
Thank you so much 🥰
morgan's focus on realistically recreating the rock background was 👌
Love all the enclosures. Well done all. ❤
Luke deserves it, so young yet so talented!
I can’t get over how good these all were this year!! I couldn’t pick a winner. Wow!
Go Dav go!!! I just voted and he is currently in the lead! You got this! Let's get you there for the championship!
I love the build offs! Everyone is so creative.
Wow these are beautiful!!!! I don't know who to pick!
So impressed with all the builds this year!
17:40 I love Southern Utah too and that is lovely
Bearded dragon racing was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen
Luke and Tyler tugged at my heart strings, and Dan's sea monkey jungle was absolutely beautiful
Thank you! Tyler & Maddie's is one of my favorites, along with Jon & Keving Pangea
That was so much fun, and all of the builds are so cool. Lots of creativity this year!
Also, I love that the one beardie’s name is King Dodongo
THIS IS SO EPIC!!!
Everyone who participated in any way is amazing!
Thank you for making this possible, Snake Discovery!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This was the hardest to vote for of the three years for sure!!! I was really torn between 4 but they ALL looked amazing!! This is one of my favourite videos to see every year and I hope this goes on for many years to come. Great job everyone and thank you for hosting such a fun build-off that we get to watch.
