CJ Ramone really was an excellent fit for the band, The Ramones. Besides his talent as a bass player and singer, both lead and backup , CJ had the emotional intelligence to strike the perfect balance between all the other band members.
Listen to any interview, you'll find a very interesting and intelligent man. He knew the individual personalities of Johnny, Joey and Marky and he knew just how to find his own place in the band.
CJ continues to represent the Ramones very well and I'm Glad CJ fostered a good relationship with Joey.
Another impressive fact about CJ is he had the opportunity to take over as bass player for Metallica but he declined because his son was born with Autism that required more individualized attention.
Had CJ accepted the job with Metallica he would have been a multimillionaire and set for life.
In summary, there is much more substance and depth to CJ Ramone than most people are aware of.
>emotional intelligence
no such thing but OK ;)
I met CJ last year and he was a kind and most attentive and interesting person to meet. And I felt very much at home being with him.
CJ is awesome
Thank you, CJ, for helping keep the Ramones going for a bit longer! Respect.
Wow ....he's changed so much....met him in 93
I'm amazed that no one is talking about how unrecognizable he is from he was with the band.
DrummerBoyJack He was in his 20s then. He’s 56 now. People age.
@@jacknone1564 not that drastic though.
@@jacknone1564 Except Andreas Kisser. He didn't age at all.
You should see the other guys.
Lol!! Have you seen him live?
Ramones songs still lives in my mind, I wish someday watch my hero CJ playing here in São Paulo Brasil.
CJ is a fucking prince. Never met a nicer, more authentic guy. And he's fucking rocks.
Leicester, England 🏴 September 30th, 1989. My first Ramones show too.
Yeah CJ! A life well lived. Happens to be a great dad too from what I've read.
C.J. was smart and had a plan when he was young.
You are so right Jenni. How many do that? I sure didn't . I wish I had hearing CJ
no he is not , he was lucky .
The real lesson here is you gotta imagine what you want, like CJ says he imagined looking out the window leaving for his tour, that’s what you gotta do if you want to do anything in life, first you gotta imagine it like it really happened to you, then one day it will happen, but nothing will happen if you don’t imagine it first. Hey ho let’s go
Cj ramone is the only ramone who got a real carrer after the ramones went over . he got style he sings super good and his records are awsome .
And what about Joey, Dee Dee and Richie solo careers? In my opinion, were great too.
Mariano Bastiani yeah, this person is just not right lol
Marky Ramone and the intruders was dope too!!!!!!
Take It CJ !
CJ we love youu!
Those archive videos show that CJ and Marky were friends, how the times have changed
The wig is a douchebag
@@carlstrickland5573 There are only three Ramones left, and they're still busy hating each other's guts. It's just depressing
@@ohnose4455 Mark the Wig wants all the money for himself....thinks CJ shouldn’t be out touring on the name...Mark is a bitter jerkoff
@@carlstrickland5573 Never knew that, any source for that?
@@ohnose4455 marky has said in interviews that CJ was never a real Ramone...Cj was also dating Marks Niece and Marky was treating him like shit...was speaking to CJ at a show about 2 years ago
At the end, they definitely look like a happy family 🤣🎼🤩🎸😊🇫🇷😊🇨🇭
My favourite Ramone member
He should have been induced with the rest of the band in the HOF
@@raymondsolisjr.1262 CJ most def should be in there -listen to Loco Live......1234
@@raymondsolisjr.1262 ye , and richie was not there either .
I remember meeting CJ at a walkathon in 2010 and he signed my Mondo Bizarro album. Really nice guy :)
Aguante CJ!!!!! POR SIEMPRE LOS RAMONES!!!!! VAMOOOOSSS!!!!!
He's a good man.
CJ Ramone I love U
You Go CJ!!!!!
The guy had big shoes to fill. How can you ever replace the incomparable DeeDee? But He did it, and did it well.
CJ Hemingway 😄⚓️🐠
Its sad to listen about your retire in 2020
But it doesn't mean he'll stop singing, writing, recording, and doing shows, randomly. Just the touring bit.
@@jennimadden1061 You're right. Regards.
@@pipipiero CJ Ramone forever!
I wonder if he made it to Cuba? 2020 was indeed the year that may people retired - due to industry shutdowns
THERE ARE ARGENTINA SCENES !!!
He was a "young version" of Dee Dee. Haha
The CJ song was rad.
Punk perdon
2020 fuck!!!!!
100th like
Does CJ think Long Island is actually an island?
Damn he has aged hard.
well I saw him play 3 nights in a row in London on this tour and there was no spit or abuse at all. Certainly no calls for Dee Dee. Gets annoying when people make shit up.
I love the end of the video where marky is singing a cj likes his beer song
