Thanks again for the information. This ELD would end up paying for itself over time. I currently pay $25.00 a month and had to pay for the equipment. The dash cam is built in the the unit. I wonder if it works the same if you sink the window mounted camera?
Is there a way to set up the ELD for multiple drivers? Like if I had one person driving locally during the day and another person driving locally at night?
You need it to track your hours of service. Basically back in the day, truckers would drive for too many hours and fall asleep behind the wheel. The ELD is in place to make sure you’re not driving past the allowed amount of drive hours in a day and prevent a bad situation.
This is the best garmin video I've seen. Thank you!

Thanks for this video I want a stand alone eld Device don’t like the idea of a phone only system
Why not? Pros/cons?
Its hard to see license plates Dashcam isn't clear enough. Its useful during hit and run.
Yeah especially when the truck is moving, need a dedicated dash cam for real that has 4K
Is this a commercial gps for trucks ?
Yes, it’s commercial. It has settings for a box truck or Semi use
Good info as usual 💪🏾
Definitely going to get that
Does the ELD TELLS YOU WHEN TO TAKE A BREAK AND ALL THST STUFF?
Yeah it does. It pops up on the screen and shows you how many hours you have left and when to take a break

Was it ready to use right out the box?? Or you had to update the maps?? At home 1st??
Yeah ready to use out the box but highways change so you do need to update it eventually
Can you view camera full screen as you drive?
Yes of course
How do you transfer the log to the inspector during an inspection? Can you elaborate on that a little?
I haven’t had to do it but I believe you can send it via bluetooth to the DOT officers device
i have the same device you would ask you to email them the inspection sheets over to there email
Is this still working for you G?
How much is it
ELD is $99. GPS is $499 if you want that as well
Thanks for the information. When using the ELD, is there a monthly subscription fee?

How do you get Ifta quarterly report, please.
Im not sure, I don’t use that feature on the Garmin
Where did you get it from I looked on Amazon but couldn't find that exact model number with the dash cam
I got it from Loves truckstop but if you type in “Garmin 785-LMT” on google, it’ll show you who else has it.
Is there a way to set up the ELD for multiple drivers? Like if I had one person driving locally during the day and another person driving locally at night?
Yes, you can set up multiple driver profiles
@@trucknonabudget5696 thank you!
Why do you need to eld

For non cdl also?
@@staci8222 Yes, but some people are exempt. Check the FMCSA website
I have to ask, how many times has this device malfunctioned on you? I see some good reviews but I see and hear many more complaints.
I’ve owned it for about 4-5 months now and it hasn’t malfunctioned. Even sitting on the dash in high temps, it performs without any problems.
Awesome 🥰
Where did you get it from
Loves truckstop
Salute!
