The Royal Gorge - Highwater - Rafting 2019

A sweet video I made this year for our extended high water rafting season.
Filmed on Panasonic GH5 w/Sigma 18-35 and Olympus 75mm 1.8
and DJI Mavic Air. Also some GoPro

I remember being tossed up in the air like that when I was in the rear of the boat. I was a teenager in Boy Scouts when we did this, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I was so scared of falling out and not making it.

I was watching this on mute, and was amazed with just about everything; the shots, your pace, your edits, angles, color, everything. Brilliant. Then I turned on the sound.
Music is a personal preference, of course. But wish there were a little more universal sound here.
Tremendous video and editing in this. The music is undermining a great piece.

Great video -- any chance you could do one someday with rafts making it through successfully? I know it wouldn't be as much fun but maybe we'd learn something? Looks like right or left will do the trick, but if it was that easy nobody would be swimming! Thanks!!!

Thanks, I'm not 100 percent what it is. Its very hard to tell in the lighting. Mostly crows that fly down there on those cliffs.....

Depends on what your definition of bad is. The water is lower and not nearly intense right now if that’s what you mean? It’s at a very good level right now
