I was wondering how to hide the cab wiring, as best I could think was heat shrink, but then got to hide the wires somehow running through the cab, at the time I didn't think of buying plastic sheets to hide the wiring. bought a few sheets a few weeks ago for another truck related project, so will be sure to keep any leftovers. thanks Bob for the heads up!! 🙂
thanks for another awesome video Bob. this will be going into my bag of hacks. Bob I was wondering will you ever do a video on like cutting the hood and making to where it will title open?
I don't even own one of these, but I sure do want to. I have a 4x4 RC and a lexan 1/10 Dodge van body that I haven't the slightest idea of how to/who to talk to about the nifty paint I want to do to it.
good evening i have a question hopefully anyone can answer. i have a Tamiya Mercedes Actros 3363 and my question is could i paint the chrome a metallic black to give it a black chrome look. if painting wont work, how do i strip the chrome without stripping it from inside the light cans, cause i would need it for the reflection. thanks
Personally I've gone with a matched Yokomo Zero 3 21.5 Brushless and BL-EP6 ESC after digging through backlogs of internet forum arguments. 21.5 turn, 540 size, sensored brushless seems to be the agreed-upon equivalent to the stock Tamiya Silver Can, as far as dirt racing goes. To be fair, though, the stock silver can is a bit worrying at full tilt, and the Yokomo setup I have is disturbingly fast at full tilt. But then, the real Freightliner I drive still has a lot of speed available above cruising speed, so learn to back off the throttle and save the big speed. If your throttle finger's too heavy, look into a 25.5t motor, and stick to 2s Lipos or 6 cell NiMH at 7.2v. But on the other hand, going Brushless means you have _All The Torque_, and that can be dangerous to prop shafts and the drive cups at the transmission and diffs. Be prepared to shell out for heavier shafts with proper universals.
Super simple and super effective! One of those "why didn't I think of that?" moment right there!!!
Trust me I am still wondering why I did not think of it earlier!!
Great idea💡 to hidding the wires👍 Awesome job BOB
Oh great! Thanks a lot! Now I got another job to do ......😉 I just love the ideas that I can do, but I never seem to think of. Bob you Da Man
That is a pretty straight forward way to hide those wires.
Great tips, you dont want that spaghetti hanging all over the cab.
Nice simple tip Bob it hides the wiring into the sleeper area great design 😉👍🚛
Great that you showed this! I've been doing Headliners for years. This will help others. 👌
Bob thanks for these great tips I like this way better than the way I was doing with hot glue
Wow this is a great idea ! Ha. I am in the process of my first semi build. Love your tips and videos.

Awesome. I used this idea on my grand hauler. Thank you..
Thank you!
Love hot glue and alcohol(as a release agent), for all kinds of projects😎
Awesome tip i will be using that on my grand hauler build thank you for your excellent videos
Very nice Bob!
That was very cool.it was something I did not think of.
Love this idea 💡
I did the same thing, except had an old grey t-shirt that I cut and glued to the plastic since most vehicle headliners are fabric.
Really great work!
Great work. I'm wondering if you know how much the Peterbilt style grill is?
Very trick nice touch

Why the rc truck always new and shiny? Will you have a video on how to do weathering? Like to build one like those we see on the street.
I like it but you can use the corner piece of plastic to keep up the liner
Very nice!
Great idea you should make a bunch and add them to your store.
I thought of that. If I ever get caught up I just may. They are whole lot easier to make than front mount speaker brackets!!
awesome tip..

one question can I replace brush ed motor with Brushless?? If so best one and esc please

What gauge of wire are you using for the LED's?
