When I add the solidify modifier to it, the neck shortens every tick I go up in thickness, accept for the impossibly thin film that was there prior to solidifying. Do you know how to fix this? Thanks
Hey! This could be because the bottle itself is also increasing in thickness. You can try to solidify it with a negative value instead (so the mesh goes inside instead of outside). This should fix the issue!
awesome tutorial, first thing I've ever made in blender and it looks great. Do you know how to export then import it into Unreal while keeping the material qualities that it had in blender? when i did it my glass material lost it's transparency.
Try and checking if you are in Eevee or in Cycles. Additionally, try checking your transmission value (higher is more transparent), your roughness (lower is more glossy), and alpha (lower is more transparent) on your Principled BSDF. Another thing you can check is if you're on solid view or on rendered view. You can change to rendered view on the top right, or by pressing Z. I hope this helps! Let me know if it's still not working.
This is much clearer than the first video. Thank you for sharing
This video was super helpful, thanks!
Hey, glad it could help! Let me know how your Blender journey goes :)
Very very cool this is exactly what I need.
Good tutorials. 🔥 keep going👍
Thank you! Appreciate the support :)
Awesome tutorials man, I like how you take your time for everything. And you have a very pleasant voice. Looking forward to more.
love the potion bottles! 😍
Can you help me? Why is my viewport dark? And my bottle too.
I can't put the transparent thin

I cannot see through glass the liquid and I don't know why
Thanks for the question! In the Principled BSDF, try increasing the transmission or decreasing the alpha. Make sure you're in Cycles when you do this!

This video is helpful, but I can't get the bottle to be transparent and I did the exact same thing he did. I'm so confused.

In which part of the video is that? If you can pinpoint the exact part, I could help a lot more!

Hiya, I tried this tutorial but transparency only shows up for me in cycles and not eevee.
