- The Coastal Village Of Lynmouth Sits In A Narrow Gorge Beside The West And East Lyn Rivers, Whilst The Village Of Lynton Sits 700 Feet Above On Top Of The Cliff Which Overlooks The Bristol Channel.
The area has outstanding natural beauty and was location of a tragic disaster that occurred in 1952.
In this video I take a virtual walk of these incredible villages showcasing some of the best locations along the way.
A little history, lots of natural beauty and a great location to visit on a day out in North Devon.

Welcome to Stephen and Yhana History and Adventure Hunters
Stephen and Yhana are a duo of adventure seekers and they record their adventures for UA-cam.

They are uncle and niece (Stephen being Yhana's legal guardian and has been since she was three weeks old.) At Home - It is just the two of them and they both share a common interest and that’s exploring and adventure seeking.
Stephen Robert Kuta, is also an author, genealogist, historian, photographer and a keen traveller.
Yhana loves UA-cam, Ice cream, theme parks and the Romans.
Our goal is to create content which focuses on history, genealogy and adventure - This includes future published material as well as film creation.

Just a beautiful stroll though these lovely coastal towns. Stunning river as you mention. Gorgeous day too! The flood of Lynmouth was so sad to hear about. Love the stone walls and architecture of the buildings. The views from Lynton were amazing! Beautiful church, graveyard and clock tower near the end. Thanks so much for bringing us along.

OMG! So many Tadpoles. A beautiful scenic walk Stephen and loved the little Port. Great sculpture and views of the beach. These Villages would be awesome to visit. Loved the clock tower of the church and the architecture of the Village. Thank you for taking us along Stephen and look forward to the next adventure. 👍🏼🙏🏼🤗♥

What a beautiful part of the world. The river was fabulous. So sad to hear of the tragedy that occurred in 1952. The pretty little town had some lovely streets, with attractive architecture. I loved the church and churchyard. I enjoyed your stroll around the area in the sunshine 😊💕🌺

Beautiful little village, I bet it looks stunning in the fall and winter. Looks like the perfect place to open a bed and breakfast.
There are a couple of bed and breakfasts here already actually 😊 they look very lovely too. I can imagine winter and fall would be lovely. Although Ice on those paths must be treacherous lol 😆

Ha ha the creek looked suspiciously like gold to me.

Loved seeing these beautiful villages! Loved the river in the beginning. What a stunning walk alongside! I love the narrow streets through the villages - it is just like we would imagine in an area like that! Looks like lovely little areas that are clean and quiet! Seeing the tadpoles brought back many memories of my childhood. We use to love catching and releasing them. Like how the stores are all on brick pavers down a tunnel like walk. Everything about North Devon is beautiful :) The views of the sea are stunning ! Enjoyed the beautiful explore😊

The flood I’m sure was devastating! So sad when a flood causes so much destruction. Amazing how the tiny tadpoles are in a calm place next to rushing waters. Did you do any fishing? It’s a beautiful area Stephen. Thank you for the awesome tour. 👍😊🇨🇦
Hi Christine, I thought the same about the tadpoles, you don’t often find them in rivers, they prefer still water usually 😊 I bet a few got washed out to sea though. Sending my best and catch up soon

Beautiful river, steep gorge, you can see why it flooded so bad. Love the tadpoles. There is a man made retention basin in a giant shopping complex near me, it is full of tadpoles and giant Bullfrogs 🐸
My brother used to keep bull frogs years ago, they are big old tadpoles lol not like the midgets we saw lol 😆 I’m surprised they are in the river, it flows very fast. I bet a few got swept out to sea. 😊 catch up soon guys

It looks so peaceful there! It was sad to learn of the tragedy from the hurricane but the harbour area looks so beautiful. I love that gorgeous-looking hotel! 😊

I feel like I've walked back in time - minus the vehicles 😂 I love how the village had little tents with merchandise set up. The port area with the boats was simply breathtaking with the view, music added a nice touch too. I've said it before but I absolutely LOVE your channel, one of the best I've ever watched and can watch the whole way through without skipping. Keep it up ~ Tracee 😊

Thank you for the tragic history this village has been carrying on its shoulder.. I have never known until now. I wish I could interview villagers who endured the event and survived.
Is the water level as low as usual? I am not sure the UK is still in the middle of a drought.

Thank you buddy for the lovely comment, Peter was using an insta 360 camera. I think it’s a shame about the flood too, it must have taken the village by surprise that night. Awful loss of life too. I think the river is a lot lower then it usually is and the tide was starting to come in too. So high tide was probably about a couple of hours away 😊 hope all well buddy and catch up soon 😊
