"NAKED CITY" was the cream of the crop for Screen Gems, decades before SONY brought the studio, using the Screen Gems name as a motion picture division entity (since 1999) but this popular crime-drama of ABC's Primetime of the late 50s/early 60s was a very well written and superior TV series, back in the time when good quality and good programming went hand in hand! this was among the many TV shows that Screen Gems cranked-out from the mid-50s, 60's, and early 70's before becoming Columbia Pictures Television in 1975, and later as Columbia/TriStar Television, before being changed to SONY Pictures Television in 2003

Fantastic work in this episode by the one and only Eileen Fulton, who was best known as Lisa on As the World Turns! :D

Sorrell Booke as Mr. Hawk...before he played Boss Hogg in "Dukes of Hazzard", and Eileen Fulton as Janie....before she played Lisa on "As the World Turns".

The young man comforting Eileen Fulton was Conard Fowkes. These two would work together later on "As The World Turns" when Mr. Fowkes portrayed Don Hughes to Ms. Fulton's Lisa.

As a former New Yorker who grew up in NYC during the Mad Men era, one time we were on a subway train on the I.R.T. leaving Times Square and across the platforms was an Low V train with a railroad roof like many railroad trains at that time going northbound on the local track. This was possibly in 1964 before the last of them were retired that same year.

I was grateful to be reminded that each Rolaids tablet consumes 47 times its weight in stomach acid - although in truth I already knew that.

A more serious NY Police Show. (Is that Julie Sommers as the daughter?) I wonder what Lieuut. Mike Parker (Horace Mc Mahon) would have thought about the recent NYPU incidents. "There are 8 million.."

When TV series had morality included during heavy drama and wartime trauma. War lives people living differently and believing differently if one survives the war from beginning to end.

I was a child when The Naked City series was popular, now as an adult I have discovered this great show! There is a great episode with actors Robert Blake and Frank Sutton! 1961 episode shows the beautiful and clean freeway of Los Angeles! I lived there up until I was 20. L.A. was very nice back then. Now look at it! Over-populated dirty mess! This L.A. Episode brought back great memories of great L.A. Both Robert Blake and Frank Sutton were handsome guys! In 1967 my father drove us past Skid Row. I saw a small crowd sharing a bottle but Skid Row was not the mess it is today! No homeless in the street of Skid Row in 67. Parts of L.A. is Unbelievable today !
    Illegal immigration is destructive!

Are you kidding? A black and white TV series from that era? Bikinis were the sexiest thing a woman can wear on a TV episode but they were big then. Even Barbara Eden had a big bikini in a publicity poster from that time in magazines.
