This exactly what I have been looking for, we are buying a house that has a large rock fireplace (70’s vintage) and I am hoping to give it a more modern look!!!
I really like your project, it came out phenomenal. How are you going to make a DIY video and only respond to the comments that say "wow" or "Awesome" and not address any of the questions asked ?
Looked at a lot of these rainfall style effects and yours is the best looking by far; the line makes all the difference in the world although I am sure it was terrible getting them through. One idea I had if I do this project would be to cut the top pipe in half, thread the lines through and then glue/epoxy the halves back together.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, so I apologize in advance... Talk to me more about the fishing line that you used to control the vertical water flow. Thanks
Scott Sheridan : awesome engineering and a clean job. Quick question: I am going to run the fishing line from top to bottom and use fishing weights to hold the tension. Do i just knot the fishing line up on the top or what do u recommend I should do to hold a straight line especially at the top ? Your thoughts are most sought after and appreciated.
I really love this and I've been meaning to do it for a while now. I'll get you a link if I do. I'm definitely not going to do so much wiring the main purpose being I just don't know how to and it looks complicated
I have a large opening like this diving my living room and the entry way stairs. I'm tired of the ledge getting full of clutter and want a permanent feature like this that is nice to see from both sides. Hope I can pull it off.
Oh Godddddddddddd This fish line was such a pain and monotonous thing to do :'( :'( :'( took me around 2.5 days to complete just the PVC Structure. I made few mistake while doing the fish line and never realized until it was too late and had to redo..... Work Is still in progress and this is my third or forth week because my build involves Styrofoam and Cement. Hoping to finish this in coming week or two :(
Dear Scott, Thanks for this video. I didn‘t understand it well which you used instead of fishing line from Wall mart. If you put affiliate links of the materials below your video you can earn money with that and I am happy to know where to order the materials you used...
Amazing. I'm doing this in my entrance way. Any way you can explain how you got the lines through a little more I depth? I can't seem to get it through the hole more then once. Thanks
This dude just adds significant value to his home.
Great! if you don't have a wall to cut out, you can also place a mirror behind the waterfall and it should have a simmilar effect!
Hey Scott, that's one beautiful decor.
I love the idea.
Great work. And great explanation.

People you don’t need to cut a opening in your wall, you can make this a waterfall separate unit, it can be movable, same idea but not fixed.
You did a great job, and explained in depth also!
Wow!!! Great job Scott. I have to give this a try.
....I stuck my hand thru the water....sorry for mess I made but it's so beautiful.
Im fixing to do this in my lobby of my Massage Business. Gonna look so good. Your video was exactly what I was looking for. Thank You👍
Good feel to have this in home😍😍😍😍
Outstanding. Thank you. But I would like to see a video with the unit being off. I wonder if it looks not that nice by just seeing the fishing line.

Yep, this is next level. I am definitely going to be tackling a similar project for our home. Why not just use the 4/025 mylar? Is it that expensive?
Wow excellent 👏👏👏
Splendid video! Would the strings work on an outdoors one?

Very nice
Very nice build. How much would power consumption cost every month if you were to run this 24/7?
My pond pump costs me $21.90/ year win current electricity costs.
Awesome!
Wwwooowwww.....awesome 😍😍😍
Awesome 👍🏼
This is so cool. Does the water run down the line smoothly if the pair of lines are twisted or do they have to be parallel?
Does it make sound ?
Amazing work !!
What is the diameter of the fishing rope and the holes drilled on top PVC pipe ?
Thanks.
Do you remember what size bit you used to drill the holes in the PVC pipe?
Good job
I love water fountains and the one i want is very similar to this
Man I don’t know about you guys but I wish you would had to video the hole thing you doing it, it doesn’t look easy, especially the electric
Led stips mount to a gfci braker

What size or power of the motor is required for 12 feet wide and 6 feet high waterfall and what size holding tank. Do we need to use some calculation.
Very cool. Looks like about 1/8" holes in the PVC?? Did you try any other bore size?
