    *ITALY and DEB's stories
Deb shared about her trip to Italy! What a fantastic experience!! CHOW!
    *New items!
While many of the goodies we shared today are not directly stitching related they were certainly unique and fun to see. Who knew that Pinocchio's story began in Florence, Tuscany!
*Current Work.....Deb and Liz showed a few pieces that have been in progress.
Deb worked on Flea Market Flowers from It's So Emma
Additionally she worked on the Mystery Sampler called Serenity Harbor
    by By the Bay Needleworks.
Liz worked on Sampler Tree by Liz Matthews
Additionally she worked on Henrietta from the Animal Crackers collection by Stacy Nash.
    *Giveaways
There were subscriber tributes awarded as well as an Organizer and Bundle winner awarded.
    *Beginner Basics discussion
Liz shared a project she wishes to start but wanted Deb's assistance with choosing the fabric. So with Liz's floss and linen choices, Deb assisted Liz with her selection.
    *Finishes
Deb finished A Heart Remembers by Black Bird Designs. The stitch was done on 46 cnt. Lt. Exemplar linen. It is gorgeous.
Liz finished Chocolate or Coffee by Erica Michaels. It will be finished as a "strawberry".
This piece was stitch on 37 cnt Legacy linen as called for on the pattern.
    *Gadget Corner
Several viewers asked about the grid that was shown on a prior Country Stitchers video. The
grid was done using "EZ Guide" and it was previously featured as a gadget. This time Liz showed a piece of evenweave that she had woven the EZ Guide into so that she could demonstrate how it worked. The piece she was stitching was a Tatty Teddy Pattern taken from a pattern featured in the World of Cross Stitch magazine extra. This dates back to the early 2000's. Thanks to her friend ELVA from Hertsfordshire!

OMGosh! Deb, your excitement and joy is so wonderful! Just makes me smile and remember my own awe when we lived in Germany and traveled. I would have loved to have you as a travel buddy back then! Liz, I hope you show pics of your breads. And, I love this explanation/instruction stuff - like picking the color fabric for the strawberries. Please show your storage for magazines. I ended up with a lot from a FB Marketplace buy.

Deb, your trip to Italy sounds amazing, what a 50th birthday gift! I love to watch you and Liz and really miss your weekly videos, but I understand. Your last video you showed some of Vicky Clayton’s threads you bought and I bought 2 of those sets and one other big set, they are so pretty, plus I bought the bobbin holders from Amazon. I filled those two and had to order more containers, yep, I kind of went overboard on my purchase but wanted to try them out. Thanks again for your videos, I’m looking forward to the next one, have a very blessed day!

My granddaughter is 5 and she loves to watch me cross stitch, I fixed up a piece of 10 count and plastic needle to help her make her x. She sits beside me and stitches in her great grandmothers rocking chair just perfect child’s size! Precious memories. I love being her Nana.

Glad to hear your trip was so wonderful! I LOVED that baby girl dress!! Fraktur
To the young woman stitcher . . . hopefully you've perused Flosstube. There are so many younger stitchers and they stitch very different, modern designs. There's truly something for everyone. I love that you stitch with your grandmother! Though I'm the only cross stitcher in my family, absolutely EVERYONE (well, us girls anyway) do some type of needlework: crochet, knitting, etc. When I think of Grandma, I can see a crochet hook or knitting needles in her hand. You'll cherish those hours together.

So happy to see you both again, Deb it sounds like you had an amazing vacation, and so many finds from Italy.
Love the Journal book, the post cards are amazing.
Liz: The phone holders are lovely, age is just a number, giggles.
Oh my Liz, the bird pillow will be beautiful, love the frame for Home Deb, perfect, great idea to stitch Home on top of the fence. Love the Strawberry designs, I would use Fox and Rabbit fabric, outlining the snowman is also a great idea.
Donna Bayliss has so many lovely designs, Henritta is so cute.
Animal Crackers are not as popular as they were when I was little, Heart Remembers is a beautiful book, what an honor for your Mother and Father.
Chocolate please and then coffee, what a great idea to do a needle roll, congratulations to the winners.
Deb: The finish is beautiful, love it, I have never used an easy guide before, looks like something I need to try, the Tatted Teddies are so sweet, many of the older patterns are making a comeback, Charlie will look so handsome.
    Fractur.

Thank you both for a wonderful visit today. You had me in stitches ,my head snapped up when you said Deb only 2 colours. I thought wasn't this decided before had Deb forgotten. No it was a leg pull. I am so glad you enjoyed Italy isn't it the most wonderful country. Love all the goodies you brought back Deb. Apart from Teresa there is also mommalovesyouGBmichelle on you tube. We still have some magazines being published here in the UK Chloe could have a digital subscription if she can't find them in any LNS. I have not cross stitched for a little while as I am still on my RSN course and loving it, so I am living vicariously through floss tube for my cross stitch fix. Happy stitching ladies.

    Question for Deb......
I admire how you incorporate lovingly gestures with special dates / years into your needlework pieces
? - Since many of your pieces are framed, do you ever take the time to write on the back what those dates refer to, (such as in this video) to document your emotional visions to pass on to future generations?

My granddaughter who is only 2 1/2 years old likes to watch me stitch. She sometimes pokes the needle through the fabric. When she gets the chance she is always grabbing my stitching bag and pulling everything out to look at (she doesn’t seem to bother anything else except my books on my bookshelf. She loves books!). I hope she is still interested when she’s old enough to start stitching. Deb, your trip to Italy sounds amazing! Glad to see a video from you on my feed today. I love the Fraktur! Thank you for your video. Oh, Deb, you brought back such great memories for me talking about your vacation to Italy. I'm an Army brat, and we were stationed in Germany when I was a teen. We took a month trip to Italy. We went to Rome, and Pisa. Amazing memories. I know just what you mean about how different it feels being around 800 year old buildings and monuments, and churches! We stayed in an actual Italian boarding house instead of a hotel in Rome. Talk about experiencing what it would be like to live every day. Glad you had such a wonderful time. Loved seeing your stitching. I would love to stitch the Fraktur piece. Take care and happy stitching!

Fraktur is so beautiful and reminds me so much of Pennsylvania Dutch, as I grew up in the area. Enjoyed listening to your (Deb) trip to Italy….we loved it there and also want to go back.

Thank you so much for another wonderful floss tube video. Your trip sounds amazing Deb and the lovely things you brought back are just too ‘stinking cute’ 😂. I love the friendship you two share and your absolute joy in making so many wonderful things. You have given me so many ideas on finishing other than framing, thank you so much. Happy stitching xx

My daughter and her husband did almost the same Italy trip you did. She is also 50 but they did the trip for their 30th anniversary. She also thought the food was wonderful and healthier.

Me and my husband did a tour of Italy, started in Venice and ended in Rome, the best holiday ever. I have watched you do Fraktur flowers and love the way you finished it. CrossStitcher and World of Cross Stitch are still going I get them both, and I was in world of cross stitch this month on the letters page with one of my finished projects.

I have been eyeballing Fraktur Flowers ever since I saw it in you previous videos. It's a beautiful piece. I used to be called an old soul because I would sit with my grandmother and grandfather and stitch with them when I was younger. I recently just turned 45 and have found I'm no longer being called an old soul, just old.😅 Love your channel!

Lol...I was also called an old soul because I spent so much time with my maternal Grandmother. She was such a neat lady... Unfortunately She didn't live long enough to meet any of my children. Now people don't call me an old soul... just plain old!!!! But at nearly 71 I just laugh, time seems to really fly as I get older... I may be older, but I hope that I never become old... I want to be just like my Mom and Grandma. They believed that age is a state of mind... You are only "really" old if You choose to be!

Deb Your Frankfurt Flowers are so beautiful!!! You are so talented. I also enjoyed Your wonderful description of Your trip to Italy. You are so blessed to have been able to go on this wonderful trip. The sketch of Your Grandson was beautiful, but pardon me for being a bit nosy... You mentioned that Y'all are making a nursery.. are You adopting??? I have been in the hospital for awhile, so I guess I missed the announcement (explanation??).
At any rate, I love Your channel. Both of You are so darn inspiring!!
Take care, be safe and GOD BLESS. Linda

@@lindadulin174 that is so true. I've always said your not old until your dead, and seeing as I will always be a child at heart, I may just live forever. I didn't get to know my Dad's parents as they both passed when I was an infant but my grandparents on my mother's side both got to spends a few years with my kids. The most important thing is the memories we have and pass on.
