There're a few hiking trails to Bukit Pelindung.This is a short one but not so good for the knees & heels.There's a longer trail through the jungle,but not so steep.
Earlier this week we did another hike here down to the waterfall so please turn on notifications and stay tuned 👍♥️

The old Kuantan town is made up of the Jalan Besar (Main Street) and Jalan Mahkota (Back Street). Businesses have come and go, new buildings have been built and a huge fire burnt down alot of traditional wooden buildings along Jalan Besar, and they housed Salted Fish businesses (and thus for weeks after the fire, the place is fragranced with Salted Fish smell)
Places of interest along the two parallel adjacent roads: Konplex Teruntum (the earliest mall in Kuantan, no need to go in though), the State Mosque, there are some textile shops, Hamid Bros (a local bookstore that has been operating for more than 40 years and the old boss would know every titles in the store. There are two Hamid Bros bookshops though, the other is by younger brother) and Kuantan 188. There’s also a River Cruise as well, and some River Cruise package would need advanced booking (one being an evening cruise to spot crocodiles and fireflies and BBQ meal)

Bukit Pelindung has gained much popularity for such hiking trail exercise over the years. In the past, the road is not as well maintained and occasionally you’ll see snake crossing the path.
There is an unofficial path that you can detour, and it descends to the Teluk Chempedak beach. Not sure if it still exist or closed.
Early Sunday morning is the best time to go.
The snake we saw in this video is as beautiful as it is poisonous. We did another hike here earlier this week there we hiked down to a small waterfall, that video is up next week so stay tuned for more content from Kuantan 😃👍
Nice to see Anna's knee ok now, hiking at bukit pelindung is popular among locals, I think you guys are the only tourist/foreigner there😁 also there's a route into the jungle that lead you to waterfalls etc, maybe next time 👌

While you're in Pahang must try local favourite dish ikan patin tempoyak (catfish from Pahang river cooked in fermented durian, hot n spicy though) and also keropok losong (fish cake dessert)
We have been looking for ikan patin tempoyak but not all restaurants have it. But the search is on 😋😃

3:25 that is Malayan blue coral snake. The most venomous snake in malaysia.
No anti venom if u got bite.
it also very beautiful snake with electric blue color.
It’s so beautiful, we first saw it in Singapore. We will definitely keep a distance.

Hi Dan n Anna.. you can always ask the local on anything. We especially Malays are glad to talk to 'mat saleh' like you because we dont speak English everyday so it's our chance to pratice what we've learned a little bit at school. Only some times we're too afraid you wouldn't understand what we're saying.
We have noticed this 😃😃 we can’t learn any malay language because of our English skills 👍
