    Thank you for such an adventure and a very interesting experience. Usually, you don't come over to videos like this. That gives you such a new perspective on how to live your own life. As someone who gets stuck too much in life, this helps to bring a new vision and take different steps to a better path. Thank you and wish you all the best :)

    Thank you for providing the latest information on the trail through your videos, which have helped alleviate some of my fears of the unknown. I am planning to visit there this summer, wish me good luck.🤞

    Just completed Yari to Okuhotaka-dake in mid October. Snow had fallen and a storm rolled in hallway across. Hammering down with rain and cold. Probably one of the scariest situations Ive ever been in.

      yoh! man i’m glad you are safe. That was an unexpected snowfall. Some hikers were injured because of that. Where were you when it snowed?

    Hello, very impressed at your great work! Can I check on two things:
    1. Are you carrying your full gear with you?
    2. Is your helmet a rental from the hut, and if so how does one even return the helmet??

      Hi! 👋 thanks for the kind words.
      Well, first, I managed to book a reservation at yarigatakesanso and kitahotakagoya so I went light. Just carried food, snacks, water, and other important stuffs.
      The helmet I’m using is mine. Rent is available at yarigatakesanso but you’ll have to return it after climbing mount yari

    Thank you so much for the video, it is very useful and will help me prepare for this challenging route! I am going to do this hike in the 3rd week of October and hoping for good weather without snow. May I ask what is the shoe you use? I wonder if I may need a better shoe with good grip instead of my hiking boots while climbing and scrambling this route..

      Hi! I used the Asolo GV series hiking boots to protect my ankles and accidental trips 😂 . If you are staying at the hut approach shoes are totally fine I think.
      PS: I think October is the best month to climb this route. But yeah! it might snow so be careful. I wish you the best and I hope you enjoy it with the best weather ever!

      Thank you for the info and best wish for my hiking trip! Yes, I will stay in huts. My friends will not join me on this challenging route 😂 but I really want to go. Your video is encouraging me as you did this solo too!

    Is this passable mid October?

    • @JohnHikerDolar
      @JohnHikerDolar  Рік тому

      yes!! as long as there’s no snowfall or anything weird with the weather. It’s still the hiking season in October.

      @@JohnHikerDolarThank you man!! Love your videos!! Using them as reference to planning my hike here. If I may also ask, can you eat in the Huts even if you’re tent camping?

      @@gracedy7455 Thank you so much! I appreciate it. Well, to answer your question. There’s a space where you can eat your food inside but unfortunately you can’t use your a burner.
