Aw man, seeing that MEP 803 was a trip. I used to run those in the Marines and they are great generators, by far my favorite. Always wanted one of my own.
I ran the exhaust from that exact Chinese diesel heater through an old heavy large cast iron steam radiator before routing it outdoors. The radiator gets 400 degrees in Freedom units where the exhaust comes into it-cook burgers on a pan or heat up a pot of water, and where the exhaust exits it's only around 100 degrees. Made a video on it last year or so... Never miss an episode of your channel, good shit as always.
Cool setup, but couldn't help but think with all the lithium batteries plus all other flammable stuff in there, I really hope you have a good fire proof setup✌️
A trick to to keep the conditioned air in your garage drop a 2x4 between the door roller track and the top of the door this will push the top of you garage door against the door frame you might need to add some weatherstripping. When you want to open your door slide the 2x4 out and set it on top of door track one end at a time where it is flat and out of the way. This assumes you have a regular entry door to use when you exit the garage. This also helps prevent someone from opening the garage door from the outside. Great content thanks!!🇺🇸
A good test on the heater. I’m sure a more thorough test for emissions (Nitrogen oxides etc) would require very specialist equipment and conditions but for a quick home demo that was great and good enough for me, good job.
The converters aren't designed for and can't handle high inrush loads ( motors or other high induction loads) however they have a clean wave and low harmonic distortion so they won't harm your electronics, your old military diesel generator offers the best of both it should be a clean wave and have pretty low harmonic distortion
We lose power occasionally on the Olympic Peninsula, so last autumn, I paid an electrician $1200 for an interlock, permit, and add a couple of lights in my garage. A month later, we lost power for 48 hours. I'm glad I was able to have power, but my 10kw generator won't run the 15 kw furnace. Space heaters kept us from freezing, fortunately. We're looking into a bigger generator system now. One issue I ran into running propane was tank freezing when running for hours. I found my neighbor with the whole house system also has freezing issues with his 500-gallon propane tank. Options are limited for hassle-free emergency power here.
Great video! I love the concept of energy and how it powers our outdoor adventures and family bonding time. Speaking of energy, have you checked out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It's a versatile powerhouse with a massive 5kWh capacity, fast recharging, and waterproof technology. It's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like us!
if you don't want 240 can you just plug your cable in the 30 amp on one of the mango e to the panel and draw from both units if there connected together
For your hvac did you install a soft start kit like micro air? I’m looking to see who’s done this, how it’s working etc I heard if there’s no power or whatever it allows the unit to be powered by generators, solar panels .
Try to store those lithium battery packs at NOT full. 40 - 60% is ideal, 80 - 90% is still a serious longevity boost. Maybe they have a newer chemistry that negates the need for this.
Problem with solar is it works only half of the time at best between 9 am and 3 pm with no clouds.. in summer. Not to mention the other seasons.. so.... keep your diesel gens.
Yeah diesel generators are definitely staying. It's nice to have these batteries to charge up though instead of running the generators without a lot of load on them and then I can shut them off and run on battery at night
Ok dude. Please tell me how did u manage to learn all u know about the mechanics of gas and diesel, cars trucks boats and motorcycles and atvs, while gaining a strong understanding of all things electrical? I'm seriously in awe. Enjoy your channels starting to incorporate jen's. Please explain. I would love to hear the origin story.
Yeah I have an interlock. It's the way to go imo if you don't use the fancy computer cutout. My portable gen runs of the natural gas. It was huge pain in the as* to set up initially but worth it. Especially since I have a sewage pump to pump the sewage uphill. Don't want to be without power for an extended period.
Really, there's pros and cons to both, a power bank and a generator. The power bank, if you forget to charge the batteries and I would imagine they have an expiry date. Generator, if you are using a portable one, not storing it correctly
I purchased this mango power E almost 4 months ago, and it has stopped working. When I turn it on or plug it into an electrical outlet, it turns itself on and starts loading. Once it's done loading, the screen goes off, and it loads again. Then the screen just turns on and off, then on and off, and repeats this all day, never allowing the screen to stay on. Therefore, it's just a 100-pound piece of junk that doesn't work.
Slow the heck down, particularly about the time you're hooking up the 240 3:28 you show the connection box on the ground but you don't wire it up. You should have done that. I'm an engineer and I have an off-grid system, 10 years, flooded lead acid batteries, SMA equipment. I'm not a newbie to off-grid but am on solar generator systems. Slow the heck down.

Great idea! And thanks so man!
Prolific Invention, Did you just call our Fahrenheit Temp Measurement "Freedom Units"??? I fucking love it fella!!!!!!!!
@@TheVenom8343 For sure, find myself appreciating the good ol' freedom stuff these days like freedom seeds, freedom fuels, etcetera
@@ProlificInvention Right on my brother!!! I'm all freedom here in good ole MS.
@@TheVenom8343 SO! Celcius ( the real test metric for temp.........) Is C-ommunist hahahahaha
unlike other brands nice to see the cable coming from the front of the unit instead of the side for combining them together
Thanks for the follow up on the heater, I am impressed now with your reasoning and your candid follow up review. Thanks
My pleasure! Thanks for checking it out

Panel doors with insule batts and sealing. Roller door is impossible if you actually roll it. Seals get compromised everytime.
Very informative! Especially the diesel heater information. Thanks Chris!
Good video , I am impressed with the Mango Power Stations and I am very impressed with the Diesel heater. Thanks Chris! 👍
Awesome setup with the generators, your all set up
Super cool. I like it. Clean quiet. Nice . Thanks for the demo. Keep up the great work
Thanks for the very detailed and awesome review!!!

No problem!
I'd be afraid of getting zapped- Good material Chris! Thank'n ya!!!

Hello Chris and Jen!
Hey Richard!
thanks Chris.

E bay had a single unit on there for a whopping $4,400 bucks. Free shipping however. Your right, pricey power!
That seems about right, 3 days of charging for about 3 hours of light use.
kinda my thoughts as well.
For your hvac did you install a soft start kit like micro air? I’m looking to see who’s done this, how it’s working etc I heard if there’s no power or whatever it allows the unit to be powered by generators, solar panels .
They look interesting.Cheers from Tassie Australia..

I am looking at some solar power for aux power, what panels do you use?
Right now I just have some portable panels. I've had good luck with the renogy ones we have mounted on the clapper camper though

Really just from constantly tinkering with stuff over the years. And of course using the internet for unlimited information and answers.
Get that boy fitted in the clapper camper and do a heat test.
Do you recommend it for a small 2-room apartment with 1 refrigerator and 1 air conditioner?
Thanks for video
Very cool
Go get that suburban bud nice vehicle worth it
Hey Chris please turn that axe around so you or Jenn don’t hit it with your foot!
gotta love those armchair experts LOL
Been busting your balls but you have a hell of a setup. A lot going on.
Buen video, no apareció el Link del generador electrónico

I may have missed it, but what's the $$ outlay for those units?
⚡
after connecting the 2 mangos together how did you connect them to your house electrical
I showed it in the video. The panel is back fed through a breaker. You need to install an interlock plate to do it safely
Hey Chris, so all the members of the main channel got together and voted that you have to do a members-only give away for these two Mango units lol.
7:08 when the bottom one went to 1%, then 0%, were you running on one leg? Did the house drop off? No follow through on that.
Sausage and Coffee, what no cabbage roll?
Hi

Is it true 240 split phase ?
Just keeping it real
420 munchie time

Because this guy did not leave the link like he said he would lets just get right down to the point, HOW MUCH> $3,699.00 USD
He did leave the link in the video info.
All I see is black. Audio only
5:26 MEP 803A? ... Again, we don't know your systems. We don't know all of the equipment. Slow the heck down.
Where did you mount your solar panels? I didn't see them in this video.
They are portable fold out
