Thanks. I record on gopro's flat profile and apply a simple colour grade. I still have a heap to learn about this, especially when trying to get all the footage to look the same. The idea is to develop my own style, hence the colour grade and camera angles. Unfortunately, Im not sure I know what that "look" is, yet!
This is a nice trip from the Te Aroha side as well. A bit longer, but worth the grunt.
You are right. I have done it via the Mangakino Pack track. Nice walk, on a not so busy track.
Someday I have to see New Zealand for myself.
I am probably biased, but its a great place to enjoy the outdoors.
