When someone else speaks the air molecules vibrate which finally end up vibrating our typanum and then ultimately cochlear fluids and we Perceive sound. But when we speak we hear it both via air conduction and bone conduction i.e. vibration of our voice box following bone conduction. That is why when we hear our recorded voice we feel our voice is weird because we only hear it via air conduction and not bone conduction which is unusual for us. : ))
