The gang in Tokyo Revengers is called Tokyo Manji Gang so the Manji kanji is used in the name (東京卍會) and it's commonly used in japan to mark temples. It's also used in Bleach for the word Bankai (卍解) and Ichigo's Bankai sword has the Manji as a sword hilt as well I believe.
the manji symbol is to signify the buddha's footsteps, so its mean to mark temples, its used in religious means, and most japanese people are Buddhist or at least the japanese from my hometown. so as long as its facing right, its the manji symbol and not a bad thing its meant to stand for peace.
