OHHHH MY GOSH HELLO WHY DID UA-cam KEEP THIS FROM ME FOR SO LONG? This is so well made, I love how Chuuya tries to cover for Dazai and comfort him while still acting like he doesn't care, that was so precious. Seeing how Yosano reacted to his affiliation with Mori was also refreshing with the way she continued to be impacted throughout the reaction rather than getting over the reveal rather quickly as people often have her do. This was a wonderful mix of serious and funny without being tone deaf and I'm so hyped for the next part
nah i hate yosano in this one , she juste care about what mori did , not dazai , but i can tell dazai even in the anime don't care about anyone beside odasaku , who andertood him a little
@@user-zj4vz3ke4e I see where you're coming from with the Yosano thing, but realistically she'd need time to get over seeing Mori again before extending empathy to Dazai. That said, it's entirely inaccurate to say that Dazai doesn't care about anyone besides Odasaku. Just because Oda was the one who understood him best doesn't mean he's the only person Dazai had compassion for. He cared about Ango enough to let him go after his betrayal, even though they have a lot of bad blood between them now. He's consistently shown care for Chuuya with the most notable examples being the events of Stormbringer as well as their reunion, though there is of course more. He consistently shows respect for Ranpo's intelligence, even bragging about him to Atsushi, Fyodor, and the enemy organization who attacked the barista in the cafe. He cares about Atsushi, having taken him on as a student and making an effort to train him far differently from Akutagawa. There's even a line he has in Dead Apple where he says "I hope Atsushi and the others are safe," indicating that he's a priority on some level. He definitely cares about Kunikida, as much of an annoyance as he makes himself. And part of that can even be attributed to wanting to test his morals and rules to ensure he won't break down when he fails like he did during the cannibalism arc. He's been very gentle with Kyouka and played a huge role in enabling her to join the Agency in the first place. I could probably go on, but hopefully this is enough to make my point.

y’know I think people are getting it wrong,because if Dazai gives Akutagawa the approval he wants, it would mean he no longer has a reason to live y’know? And if he says sorry it would mean he wasn’t worth all the trouble to train and give a reason to live. This is what I think anyways lmao, maybe I’m just over thinking I dunno, when Dazai says “you’ve become strong” it means Akutagawa now doesn’t have any reason to live anymore so he willingly died for Atsushi because theirs nothing stopping him otherwise, Dazai probably knew this so he acknowledged him.
