Why should you be "angry" at an act of democracy? Maybe you should be grateful for it, because with the AfD in second place in some German polls, and Nazi's being elected all over the continent, goosesteps will soon be heard in the European Parliament. Do you really want British politics to be associated with this new German rabble of Stormtroopers....?

That was hilarious! Right on the nail Joel. The 52% that voted to leave ought to be forced to watch this on a regular basis, if for no other reason than the fact that they were so gullible & easily led by self serving politicians who had nothing other than the ‘I put myself & party before the well being of the nation’. I’m still angry about this. Thanks Joel 👍👍👍
The majority of politicians were pro-remain, dummy, and literally none of the things they said have come true. 🤣 Any economic issues right now are due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, and only idiots can't see that lol
6:27 Gernot Hassknecht is our version of Lewis Black. I belive they both originated in the same clone tube.
I love the heute show! Watch it every Friday. I'm happy to see the reaction on your channel!
Guinness is an Irish beer.....the RI is not Britain.....😅
Yes they got that one a bit wrong.
Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, Tadcaster, England
That was fun! I hope they have bits about other subjects (Trump maybe?)
They have plenty about Trump. I just looked and there are at least 6 that are redily available. Just search for "Heute Show" and "Trump". Don't know if the subtitles will always be that good, though.
The funniest thing for me as a german is that while watching this with my family I didn't even realize how harsh it could seem to other people. Its just typical german humor, noone would say that if they really meant it xD
You must look all episodes from the „heute show“
They all hilarious 😂😂
Theresa May dancing is really iconic, actually.
reminds me of Elaine‘s iconic dancing in Seinfeld…
And Liz Truss talking about pork pies. You can't beat our pork pies though😂
*Demonic 🤣
The "Heute - Show" is aired weekly, and I am always looking forward on watching it. The name itself is a little joke, because the same broadcaster's daily news go by the name of "Heute". I mean the serious ones. (Heute = Today). Ask YT for "Heute - Show" and you will for sure get a lot of results, even the current ones.
Well, the German "Heute Show" is a copy and produced under license from the American Today Show of the famous Jon Stewart.
@@sindbad8411 What you are talking about goes by the name of "The Daily Show" and yes, the concept is similar but a copy is something different.
@@Herzschreiber yes, you're right, "The Daily Show" If you've watch the original, Olli Welke copied from is very similar in many details including rolling papers in his hands pretending to be a news anchor, reading the news.
Gernots Hasskrechts schauspielerische Leistung hat mich zu Tränen gerührt.
Guinness is Irish, Ireland is not in the UK.
You're wrong: North-Ireland is still proud to belong to the UK ...
@@pugdthfn Ireland, not Northern Ireland! Dublin, Ireland. You be as proud as you want, doesn't bother me.
NO OTHER COUNTRIES did the Brexit. And no other European countries have awful politicians to the extent that Britain does. Best from London.
"Hey hey, you can't hate on the Guinness and fish & chips."
Guinness is Irish. 😆
Guiness is Irish... still in the EU :P
Also for fish and chips they use fishes you can't find in the UK waters, they don't like their own fish, so they are importing it...
3 more...^^
Brexit: deal or no deal? German political comedy "heute show" (English subtitles)
Brexit: Dear Brits, please LEAVE ALREADY! German political comedy "heute show" (English subtitles)
Brexit: The British have finally left the EU! | German political comedy (English subtitles)
The host you are watching, Oliver Welke once said "If you turn off the sound it should look like the news. If you turn the sound back on and still think its the news you need help".
So if someone takes this for real, one got a total different problem :)
love your reaction!!! and there are more videos from the Heute-Show about brexit to watch
Guinness is made in the EU lol
The EU has nothing to do with Guinness, it started in 1759 a little before the EU ever existed...
He didn't say it started in the eu. Damn, you can't even comprehend what he's talking about. Maybe read a book or two?
@@Füchs_chen Name two that are relevant?
@@daveofyorkshire301
Guinness is brewed in Dublin, Ireland, which is in the EU.
@@daveofyorkshire301 books? I can name dozens lmao. Are they relevant? Probably not since most of the books I read are Fantasy or books like the ones from Dan Brown. I still understood what he was talking about. You didn't, clearly
ETA: Trudi Canavan has some amazing books as well. Check them out 🥰
The heute show should have a channel of their own.
There is also the 'Anstalt'. A bit longer and more indepth I'd say, but nonetheless, worth it.
'Gernot Hassknecht' is a fictional , completely exaggerated "stereotypical German pub crawler" who knows "everything about everything". He always starts to rant in the most illogical ways about the current topic. Hassknecht, in this case a compound name of Hass = hate, and Knecht = servant. So he serves hate. Which is pretty much *all* he does. He's a regular feature of the heute Show.
I really enjoy your channel , keep doing what you do. You really need to go to the Munich Oktoberfest. This is something so odd and special .. the behavior of foreign visitors getting wild .. priceless. Let me know when you need support for your flight ticket. I am pretty sure peoble will donate money for you to fly to Munich. Greetings from Zurich, Sascha.
Well I thought it was funny..I know quite a few Germans and we all have a laugh (at each others expense), Us Brits probably have the most in common with Germany and the Netherlands ; shared ethnicity etc than we do with southern Europe..as a friend of mine put it. Northern Europe = beer drinkers , Southern Europe = wine drinkers
well your royal family is german too

As you might have seen, many videos from the Heute Show exist on UA-cam.
I have a different suggestion: A real speech of a representative in the European Parliament. It's probably too short for a reaction video (1 minute), but you might like it anyways.
The Title is: " Rede: Nico Semsrott und die Finanzkammer des Schreckens "
oh yeah please watch Nico Semsrott a comedian who got elected as a EU politician and he created whole comedy shows about his experiences as a member of european parliament.
Your videos are really addicting, Karola Hamburg,Germany
There are few clips of "heute Show" on UA-cam today. They put the majority of clips out and only show them on the public tv station's own media library, the "ZDF mediathek". So there you will find more stuff of "heute Show".
Guinness is from Ireland, so we still have to drink it in the EU...😉😉
They used a pic of Guinness as a real English beer would have hurt the eye too much... maybe even would have caused traumas... After all, they are a responsible and caring satire show.
Hi Joel , I enjoyed this video (pierre)
Guinness is Irish... I believe they were referring to simple ale...
Ssy-D-F 😂🙏🏽🙏🏽 you pronounce the Z (ZDF) ...really hard, really German 😂 never Heard it like you said it😂😂🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
"Zee" is a standard pronunciation of the letter Z, particularly in the USA - though the first known literary reference to "zee" was in an ENGLISH book, written by Thomas LYE (1621-84).
if you're looking for something cool to laugh and react to, then check out this incredibly good German band. their music videos are epic and great fun.
Band: Electric Callboy
Videos: Hypa Hypa / We Got the moves / Pump It / Tekkno Train / MC Thunder 1 and 2 / and many more…
Start with Hypa Hypa. There was so many great reacting videos all around the world to that song.
The background pictures are second to none... Brexorcist etc, always absolutely hilarious. Though sometimes they don't translate into English at all.
Do not overestimate. It's a traditional love-hate relationship between Germany and Little Britain 😂😂😂
Hmm, I just ask myself why I watched your reaction to a TV show which I could just watch in my native language?
Ah, I get it. It was because I wanted to see someone having fun while I am having fun watching a german TV show. 😆
5:35 absolutely 😁👍
Would love to see this kind of videos where TV-shwos in other countries make fun of Germany
The same show does it already.
The first real reaction that's more than laughing or saying "this is funny" is at 5:50. That's slightly late for essentially just playing the HeuteShow's video
Maybe you should do some Volker Pispers who is one of the sharpest and hilarious comedian/cabaretist in Germany. Especially his videos on the American foreign policy (part 1- 5) should be interesting for you (subtitles in English). One of your collegues from Scotland (Who is Mert?) loves it. Very fact oriented and sharp on the point!
Yes, but it‘s bound to be mentally challenging for a US American…..
Mert is Scottish, he basically already knew half of the bs the U.S. were trying to sell for going to war in the Middle East.
Did you watch the America first ... Second videos? They were a reaction to trump's inauguration speech and came from popular comedy shows all over Europe and around the world

This is the Germany second video, but there are a lot of others, for example Denmark, Netherlands and Suisse
"You can't hate on the Guiness and fish'n'chips"
Too bad half of that is Irish, lol xD
I laughed with you, very funny your laughing ^^
JP, there are a lot more comedy shows in germany.
Have you ever seen Kaya Yanar, Didi Hallervorden, Loriot, Otto, Volker Pispers, Michael Mittermaier? I don't know, if all are translated.
German humour was ever underestimated, it's very direct and rough ;)
glaube, habe den welke noch nie so ernst shooten sehen xD krass, da war er wirklich angesäuert haha
5:25 Threw the polish under the bus??? Man you do not understand what he meant...
The most funny, but sad thing is: it has become even worse than anyone - economists, politicians, comedians - foresaw and told the Brits countless times.
That's because of Covid and the war in Ukraine. Nothing at all to do with Brexit. Keep crying 😅
@@c_n_b Covid was everywhere. The war in Ukraine affects everyone. But obviously, both affects GB more than anyone else.
So, what could it be what GB did differently?
If possible, take an educated guess.
@@marcromain64 The UK doled out the Covid 19 vaccine faster than the EU. That wouldn't have been possible inside the EU.
@@gaynor1721Let's forget for a moment that you're nitpicking:
The UK released its first vaccine just three weeks earlier than the EU. Just three months later it was overtaken by most EU members because it couldn't keep up with procurement and distribution.
Bottom line: most EU members have a higher rate of completed vaccinations, a lower rate of Covid-related deaths and a lower rate of infections overall than the UK.
Guiness is owned by heineken (dutch i think) apart from that it s irish the fish for fish and chips is nowadays imported from norway and the potatoes might as well come from the european mainland…. so what exactly which products are they famous for? Lol
As long as everyone can laugh abt each other politics we good.
Enjoyed the vid🫶🏼
"die Heute Show" did a few shows about brexit over the past years
Of course there are more heute show clips about brexit😂
The reason he brought poland into it is because lots of brits were fed up with immigration from eastern europe, like polish people
Hilarious and mostly accurate 😂
we love that you like our European humour
If you see the consequences the Brexit took, it's even worse then expected for Brittain
In the meantime, many Britons have noticed that they have been fooled by their politicians, who only wanted to make a name for themselves.
I feel sorry for the young people in particular, who will have to pay for this for years.
Imagine being so desperate to be part of some wannabe European empire. Didn't the Germans try that in the 40s? Hmmm, says a lot about you! 🤔
