- In the wake of a thwarted coup attempt in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) over the weekend, Congolese and foreign observers alike are expressing uncertainty about the future.
On Sunday, the Congolese army announced that it had foiled a coup attempt in Kinshasa involving both Congolese and foreign citizens - including three US nationals and a naturalized British subject.
A group of approximately 50 men in camouflage had allegedly attacked the residences of the prime minister, the defense minister and the likely future President of the National Assembly, Vital Kamerhe.
They later breached the Palais de la Nation in central Kinshasa, which houses the office of President Felix Tshisekedi.
The ringleader of the group, Christian Malanga, was shot dead after security forces moved in, along with three other assailants.

CIA MI6 again.
This crack CIA team, composed of four 150pound high school dropouts with no combat experience, ALMOST succeeded in overthrowing the entire military and ruling class of the DRC. It was a tough battle but ultimately the superior training, doctrine, and morale of the 200,000 man strong DRC Army was able to convince them to surrender.

I'm sure this has everything to do with the CIA and France and nothing to do with the ongoing Kivu conflict happening since 2004, Ituri conflict happening since 1999, or the fact that the current DRC's military is considered to be amongst the most unstable in all of Africa to the point where there is a 16,000 man strong U.N. peacekeeping force in the country.
The truth is if the CIA and France had conspired together to effect regime change in DRC, it wouldn't have looked like this and it would have worked.
They should've gone to Mali and Gabon for advice on how to pull off a coup
