I Googled every incident he referenced in the video. The only ones from march 19 are the first four from the beginning of the video. The rest are from a different day, month and year. And the explanation of this horrible acts is not because of the "Two Sessions" as he irresponsibly claims in 6:33. But because of several factors, the common one being that there is a mental health crisis just like in the US, but they have stricter gun laws so the psychos resort to cars and knives.
He is only a youtuber, there is noting he or his viewers here in youtube can do to actually help a foreign country's cultural issue, and he knows it. He is just a niche youtuber. What he did there is just a lame hero complex-esque excuse to keep making a living of morbid videos like this one, with scandalous clickbait titles like "It’s Murder Season in China" when the country has like 1B population.

I visited Sakura-jima, the most active volcano in Japan. I was at this one observation point and there was a group of Chinese tourists. Mostly Chinese in their 50s and 60s I would say.
Up to this concrete observation deck led a spiral concrete stair. When one of the men wanted to decline from the observation deck he stumbled and smashed his face right onto the concrete stairs. He's entire face was bleeding and covered the stairs in blood. But not a single one of the other Chinese dared to help him to get up. I was like: "Seriously, do I need to be the one to help him up"
He got up by himself after a while and one or two of his Chinese fellow travelers helped him but they ignored him for so long >.<

There's a big reason for that. I don't remember the specifics, but years ago a woman was injured and bleeding in the middle a street in China and a man came to help her. The problem was afterwards. Since China has no Good Samaritan laws, the woman sued the man who helped her and she won the case. So since then, no one will help another person in China out of fear of persecution by the person they were trying to help.

    • @YuckFouTube2

Well China has a law where you can be legally in trouble if you help someone. I guess people would fake an injury and when someone would help, the person faking would sue and win, so eventually people stopped helping strangers bc they don't want to get sued. South Korea has something similar with young (under 14) trouble makers, some law from the 1950's says those under 14 get a slap on the wrist, so gangs recruit kids and they do horrible things to strangers and no one helps. It happens in the states too, I've checked on lots of addicts laying on the ground/sidewalk/street and some guy tried to attack my dog, so I just leave them now.

Hannah Arendt summed it up thusly: "The greater the bureaucratization of public life, the greater will be the attraction of violence. In a fully developed bureaucracy there is nobody left with whom one could argue, to whom one could present grievances, on whom the pressures of power could be exerted. Bureaucracy is the form of government in which everybody is deprived of political freedom, of the power to act; for the rule by Nobody is not no-rule, and where all are equally powerless we have a tyranny without a tyrant.”

A tyranny of the many is worse than a tyranny of one for this very reason.
A tyranny of the one (or the few) has finite points for redress. A tyranny of the masses makes anyone and everyone eligible for that redress -- anyone of any age... because the child of today is your prison guard tomorrow in a gulag masquerading as a nation-state.
China won't survive this for the same reason they never became world powers. Every revolution ends with a repressive and intolerant new order which contains the seeds of the next revolution from its very beginning.
If the business "leaders" in the US didn't foolishly deindustrialize us via offshoring, China would've never possessed the resources and intellectual property to do what they've done to their own people.
Even so, our deindustrialization has militarily crippled the US into a 2nd tier world power -- after Russia. With all the West providing arms for Ukraine, the weapons supplies are running out for Ukraine... while growing without bound for Russia.
Our business "leaders" destroyed US hegemony with their greed. This is poetic justice... though at the cost of most of the Chinese people.
The US can either reindustrialize or kiss any hope of global dominance goodbye. If we do reindustrialize, China will collapse.
But those who run the US are neither wise nor intelligent. They will continue upon their Quixotic quest for ego gratifying blood-baths, while throwing away the power they require to achieve them.
The US was the only global hegemon... until we thought we could fight Russia and survive. Our loss has exposed the Emperor's new clothes. You can only remain the global hegemon as long as the world believes you are. When the rest of the world smells blood in the water, hegemony is going to be impossible to sustain.
This is the classic mistake every would-be conqueror makes -- they attack Russia on Russia's doorstep.
I wish our leaders could've understood that the industry at home was the root of their dominance and they forbade corporations from moving industry. But really, the end of the nation was when the Not-So-Supreme-Court ruled that corporations were people and money was speech. Once money could buy the Empire, the Empire would hollow itself out to the command of the highest bidder -- foreign or domestic.
This was the root of how our Empire surrendered its power.

Agreed. I'll also say this is a mental health issue, and China is a country that actively tries to pretend mental illness doesn't exist and stigmatizes these people as essentially worthless, and very little treatment or support programs exist. Even over here in bumfuck USA our mental health awareness has come very far in the last couple decades, but there still remains a large stigma in certain circles.
Even these days strong conservatives who once had the attitude "man-up" if someone said they were feeling depressed or suicidal are starting to accept anyone can have mental illness and you can't just "be a man" and get over it. If left untreated long enough, stuff like this happens.
As a disclaimer, I don't live in China, but have a fairly neutral view as the problem they have, the US did mostly all the same shit, just 100 years earlier; and I'm fucking tired of entitled Americans claiming they know all about China and how "bad" they are because they read tabloid articles.

It is your first time hearing this, and as always first time hearing is always a bit biased. You should find sources that actually give two sides of the story to understand it better.
From what I know as somebody who is Chinese but doesn’t live on the mainland, after the kindergarten attempted stabbing more than 80% of kindergartens had armed guards (no guns) in front of them for almost half a year.
The country does take this pretty seriously, but it still does happen.

@@1stHalf This is clearly propaganda. I swear to God I hate communism, but China has very strict laws. Murder cases often lead to the death penalty, especially when the perpetrator is a person of authority in the state. The goverment have to manage their well image before their people because you know what the results will be if billions of people rebel against communism.
We can look at India to compare, these two countries both have billions of people but we can see which side has better management and more order.

@@connorkenway3962 Yes, same way Americans controlled Hollywood so it didn't show anything against America. FINALLY, you are rare to see. Someone that doesn't just take something blindly. Communism is terrible. I'd rather Taiwan lead China but the people there feel different about it because same reasons Japan and Korea don't want to become too free like America. All the drug abuse and violence and mental instability. It's funny that Americans support places like Japan and Korea when they are very authoritarian but China can't do it. They say Tokyo so great because the laws are so strict, but they choose America because of the freedoms lol.

You are so right. This is something that is so obvious, and yet people ignore it. When a person feels like they have nothing left to lose, they’re capable of anything. It’s a horrifying prospect, but hardly new.

I think you have it backwards. Chinese are not allowed to pursue capital and a better life for themselves. They are totally at the mercy of the State. This is why they act out. They attack children because they have seen qhat happens when you attack Chinese tanks
